A MESSAGE FROM FATHER RICH
When I lived near Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, I would take the time on Memorial Day to go the cemetery and to visit my father’s grave. One reason I was always impressed to see that each grave had an American flag on them. It reminds me of the ultimate sacrifice men and women have made to give us the freedom we have
Please consider attending Mass on Monday (Memorial Day) to honor those who have served, those who have died while in service to our country, and their families who mourn them. We pray also for all those from our parish who have died. Also Happy Birthday to Deacon Neal who celebrates his birthday this Sunday.
Have a great week and God Bless, ~ Father Rich

DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER
This Sunday is Trinity Sunday, one of the greatest mysteries of the Church. We have learned from the teaching of Jesus that there is God the Father and also that there is a Holy Spirit that leads us to all truth.
The Apostles Creed was a collection of things from the Apostles that they believed. They believe in God, the Father Almighty and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. The first three things the Apostles believe is the Trinity.
In the movie The Shack, the Trinity was represented by three dif-ferent individuals. The main character's wife always called God, "Papa.” When this man was in the presence of the three people who represented the Trinity, he asked, "Which one of you is Papa?" They all replied at the same time, "I AM." Now this is a fictional movie but what I thought was good about that scene was that they got it right. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one.
There are many things that could be written about the Trinity but I always like to explain it in the relationship to Mary our Mother. She is the daughter of the Father. She is the mother of the Son. She is the spouse of the Holy Spirit. May God bless you in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
AMEN ~Deacon Neal

A Reflection shared by Amanda Nothstine
Going through RCIA was one of the greatest experiences of my life. To learn and understand the love Jesus has for us was the best. You get to sit down and really understand everything and ask any questions that you have. I have gained so many new friends and basically, family during the process. I was so nervous starting RCIA, very unsure of the commitment I was about to make, but wow, the process flies by and you just become so comfortable at mass, talking to others when you have
questions, and really understanding Jesus. I will forever be thankful for RCIA and what is have given/taught me.
A new year of classes will begin in mid-September. If you are interested in becoming Catholic, have any questions, or you are Catholic and have not yet received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation and would like to learn more, please call rectory and we can help get you signed up.
