O Come let us adore Him!

Feast of the Epiphany and Blessing of the Epiphany Water

The Feast Of the Epiphany Of Our Lord

January 6, Choral Mass at 7:30 PM

The Blessing of the Epiphany Water will take place on Wednesday, January 6 at 8AM.

Please remember to bring a bottle so that you can take the Blessed Epiphany Water home.

January is the Month of the Holy Family

One thing I have asked of the Lord:

this will I seek after: that I may dwell

in the house of the Lord

all the days of my life.

Psalms, 26, 4

nd all that heard Him were astonished at His wisdom and His

answers.

Et Jesus erat subditus illis,

et proficiebat sapientia, et aetate et gratia apud

Deum, et homines!

And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and grace with God and man.

Luke 2, 52

HELP TO DEFRAY THE INCREASED WINTER EXPENSES AT MATER ECCLESIAE

Each winter, our South Jersey Gas bill (for our heating systems) balloons to an average of $2,000

from November through April. We must also pay to have our driveways, parking lot, and sidewalks

cleared of snow and ice during inclement weather. Please use the envelopes shown below to donate

towards these expenses.

If everyone donated just $1 per week, we could put a dent in these increased expenses.

(USING THESE ENVELOPES ASSURES THAT

THE DONATIONS WILL BE USED TO PAY FOR HEATING AND WINTER EXPENSES.)

A Prayer for Those Afflicted by the Pandemic

Let us pray for all those who suffer the consequences of the current pandemic,

that God the Father may grant health to the sick, strength to those who care for them,

comfort to families and salvation to all the victims who have died.

Almighty ever-living God,

only support of our human weakness, we implore you to look with compassion upon the sorrowful condition of Your children who suffer because of this pandemic; relieve the pain of the sick, give strength to those who care for them,

welcome into your peace those who have died and, throughout this time of tribulation, grant that we

may all find comfort in Your merciful love. Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Attention All CCD Parents At the Mandatory Parent Meetings in September 2019, Father Pasley explained the requirement that our CCD students begin to learn the basic Catholic Prayers in Latin, so that the prayers will be mastered by the time they receive Confirmation. Here are recommended resources for your use:

Latin Prayer Resources for CCD Parents

How to pray Latin Prayers:

Dr. Taylor Marshall hosts a WEBINAR on 4 Latin prayers: the Sign of the Cross, the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, and table blessing ("Bless Us O Lord") in Latin.

Saint Michael the Archangel Patron Saint of Police and Law Enforcement

SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, defend us in battle;

be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,

by the power of God, thrust down into hell Satan

and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

We must continue to pray

for the Church:

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

Maria, Mater Ecclesiae,

Ora pro Nobis.
