FADE IN:

EXT. A FAMILY HOME NIGHT INTER-CUT

2 DOCTORS walk towards a house in unison. They walk exactly

in time. We do not see their faces, only their feet or

backs. Eventually they stop outside a gate. They speak in

hushed tones, but are clinical and walk oddly.

DOC #1We have arrived.

DOC #2

Affirmative.

DOC #1

Subject Information Confirmed.

DOC #2

Approaching Target.

DOC #2 Opens the gate and the pair sweep down the garden

path towards the house.

INT. SOPHIES BEDROOM - NIGHT

SOPHIE is in her room, there is a relaxed atmosphere. She

is listening to music through headphones, as she lies on

her bed doing homework.

EXT. OUTSIDE NIGHT

The Doctors arrive at the front door. One pulls out a

mysterious device that makes a strange buzzing noise when

pointed at the lock of the door. The door swings open.

INT. STAIRS NIGHT

Before entering the house, the doctors put on synthetic

gloves, they then walk in and climb the stairs.

INT. SOPHIES BEDROOM NIGHT

Sophie carries on with her homework and listening to music.

INT. OUTSIDE SOPHIES DOOR NIGHT

The doctors arrive out side of Sophies bedroom door, and

open it. Shocked, Sophie leaps up off her bed and backs

away towards the window. The doctors approach.

EXT SOPHIES HOUSE - NIGHT

Through the window you see Sophie back away from the

doctors. She turns to the window and tries to open it.

SOPHIE

Help Me!

She continues backing away. The gloved hands shut the

curtain.

ACT ONE

FADE IN:

INT. THE HIDEOUT - DAY

JOSH, EMMIE & KYLE are in their favourite hangout. Josh is

lounging on the sofa playing with a game system, Emmie is

researching on her laptop and Kyle is pacing nervously.

JOSH

Kyle, would you relax? Whats wrong?

KYLEI dunno, I just feel uneasy. You know its

a month today since we last saw Sophie?

JOSH

Yeah the month has dragged by. I wish we

had a vague idea where shes gone.

EMMIE

Ive tried talking to her mum, like three

or four times now But every time I brought

up Sophie, its like she hasnt even gone.

KYLE

Did she say where she is?

EMMIE

No, she avoids answering it. Ive given up

to be honest.

JOSH

You must have noticed at school, even in

this town its turning into dead mans land

I bet we dont even realise how many otherchildren are missing?

EMMIE

Yeah but its not even like the adults are

aware, its like there completely blind to

anything to do with children. So unless

they show some concern, nothings really

going to happen is it.

KYLE

And of the kids left, theyre allterrified, with whatevers happening it

could be any one of us next!

JOSH

Somethings being kept from us.

EMMIE

I know, but its not like we can really do

anything -

KYLE (Interrupting)Were just kids!

JOSH

I dunno. I think we might be able to find

out whats going on, we just have to look

in the right places

KYLE

You mean, try to solve it?

JOSH

Well yeah, someone has to. It beats hanging

around here wondering, doesnt it? Why not

us?

EMMIE

Because were just a bunch of kids! We have

no leads, no idea whats going on, this

isnt some kind of puzzle game for us to

solve. This is real Josh, get real.

JOSH

But

EMMIE

Enough.

KYLE

I think Josh is right. Even if we get

nowhere, what harm is it to try?

Yeah!

EMMIE

I guess

KYLE

We could be the ones to find Sophie!

JOSH

Yeah!

EMMIE

I suppose. But where do we start? We dont

know anything. Sophie could be halfway

around the world for all we know

JOSH

Just think. When did this all begin? Who

went missing first?

KYLE

They must get abducted by aliens or

something, just in the night they fly down

from Mars and take them without a trace

Aliens I reckon or worse. Something

horrible like laboratory testing or maybe

even

Kyle shudders and stops talking. Emmie looks over at him,

sceptical.

EMMIE

Lets not get carried away with strange

ideas. Especially as it could be you next

Kyle! Woo!

Emmie waves her arms at Kyle, pretending to be a ghost.

KYLE

Emmie, cut it out!

Emmie suppresses a smile.

EMMIE

But seriously, dont you get the feelings

JOSH

Actually, I know what you mean. All thetime, especially at night, its creepy.

Kyle looks even more frightened.

KYLE

Cut it out!

EMMIE

Kyle, Chill.

JOSHYou know what is creepy though, have you

seen those workers in lab coats all over

town?

EMMIE

Yeah Theyre Mosquitos.

JOSH

Mosquito?

KYLE

You mean, like bugs?

EMMIE

No, dont be stupid. Its the name of their

company. Apparently, they specialise in

genetic coding and improvement.

KYLE

What on earth is that?

EMMIE

Honestly, I have no idea.

JOSH

Perhaps they are manufacturing clones! The

workers all seem freakingly similar

EMMIE

Then youll be safe Kyle, no one would want

Kyle scowls at Emmie.

EMMIE

Anyway, I think I better be going home.Ill meet you guys later, at the park?

FADE OUT

END OF ACT ONE

ACT TWO

EXT. THE PARK - DAY (EARLY EVENING)

We are introduced to The Hoods Bullet, Block, up to no

good in the skate park. The Hoods are drinking energy

drinks, throwing stones, spitting and causing a lot of

noise. Kyle is sat the opposite side of the skate park,

avoiding them, with his skateboard hanging over the side of

a slope. The Hoods approach and knock the skateboard away

from him. Kyle looks small compared to them and is afraid

and helpless. Bullet and Block are leaning over him, and

speak directly into Kyles face very threateningly.

HOOD

(Laughs)

I think next time you should think

Twice before skulking around our

Skate park Vanderhop!

KYLE

(Stammering)

I---I Just wanted to

HOODWanted to what!? Come out and play

with us? Because thats what we are

all doing, playing.

KYLE

Please I didnt mean to.. Ill go.

You dont want to be caught wandering around

town alone with the white-coats about.

HOOD

Yeah since they appeared all your dorkyfriends are vanishing one by one. Youd

better stay and play with us!

A Hood laughs like a moron. A Hood kicks the skateboard

down and it falls down the slope and another Hood picks it

up and gets a spray can out to tag it.

KYLE

Stop! Thats brand new!

Kyle gets down to the flat of the slope.

HOOD

Stop? But were having fun!

Bullet pushes Kyle into Block, Block pushes him back.

HOOD

Say that you are having fun Kyle!

Kyle looks quite green as he is pushed between the pair

repeatedly.

KYLE

Stop!

HOOD

Are you having fun yet? Say it!

KYLE

Nooo!

HOOD

Say it and I will stop! Say yourehaving fun!

KYLE

Im having---

HOOD

Say it!

Say it! Say it! Say it!

Josh and Emmie appear from around a corner. They are seen

by The Hoods. The hoods stop shoving Kyle and stand in

front of him as if to defend their hostage.

EMMIE

Get off him!

HOOD

Here come the cavalry; its the

geek brigade.

JOSH

Bullet! What are you doing?

HOOD

Just playing with your friend!

JOSH

What did he do to you?

HOOD

Hes in our skate park!

EMMIE

And what makes it yours?

HOOD

Do you want to fight for it?

EMMIE

Get a grip Bullet. This isnt some silly

war game. Its a skate park. A park

intended for us all to share.

HOOD

But I am sharing! With Kyle at least.

The hoods push Kyle once more and he falls to the floor.

Josh and Emmie approach and The Hoods move closer to stand

in front of them threateningly.

HOOD

Are you startin?

JOSH

Starting what?

HOOD

Are you startin with me?

JOSH

Huh?

EMMIE

Josh, I wouldnt try to communicate with

the idiots.

HOOD

You wanna fight?

EMMIE

Josh, Cover your ears. On three

THE HOODS (chanting)

Fight, fight, fight, fight,

EMMIE

Two

Brick shoves Josh, they continue to chant.

EMMIE

One!

Cover your ears!

Emmie draws out a device that lets out a very high pitched

frequency sound, The Hoods fall to the floor covering their

ears. Josh grabs Kyle, and the three run out of sight.

HOOD

Arrgh Next time you three will be sorry!

You are going to pay!

Down the road a little, they pause to catch their breath.

KYLE

My ears are ringing!

JOSH

Yeah, Emmie, what on earth was that?

EMMIE

Oh, just a weekend project, it did the job

dont you think?

KYLE

Genius

Josh and Emmie walk on, Kyle pauses, lost in thought.

JOSH

Kyle, are you ok?

KYLE

Yeah well, no. The hoods said something

thats got me thinking

EMMIE

I wouldnt hold that thought, those guys are

morons, they dont know what they are

talking about.

JOSH

Anyway, back to the hangout?

EMMIE

Yeah ok, good idea. But Kyle dont let

them win all the time, ok?

KYLE

Oh umm yeah ok I could of handled it.

INT. THE WRECKED HANGOUT - NIGHT

The trio arrive back at their hangout to find it completely

wrecked. There are lots of strange images and the words

HELP ME written on everything and a lot of the furniture

is upturned and ruined.

JOSH

Whoa What happened?

EMMIE

This place is completely wrecked.

JOSH

I can see that(sarcastic)

EMMIE

Only the three of us know its here.

KYLE

Could it be Mosquito?

EMMIE

You must be kidding?

KYLE

The kids started to vanish when they turned

up! Perhaps they came looking for us, to

take us next.

EMMIE

Yeah right. A big companys main concern is

to mess up our hangout. Dont be so

ridiculous Kyle, seriously.

KYLEBut look at the place! No one sane would

have done this, and everyone knows those

doctors are freaks!

JOSH moves to stand aside KYLE opposite Emmie.

JOSH

EMMIE

Possible? You have to be kidding. Youre

just jumping on some stupid Mosquito

conspiracy because its something excitingto think about on a Saturday afternoon.

I DEEPLY apologise for living in the real

world! But this is ridiculous, the only

EMMIE

You guys did this, didnt you?

JOSH

What!?

EMMIE

If this is your idea of fun

JOSH

Are you serious?

EMMIE

Boys are so stupid! Im not playing your

ridiculous games!

JOSH

EMMIE

EMMIE leaves forgetting her bag and slamming the door

behind her.

JOSH turns to Kyle

JOSH

But we didnt do anything.

KYLE

I know. But who did?

I think we both know the answer to that.

KYLE and JOSH (in unison)

MOSQUITO!

KYLE

You know, I didnt want to say in front of

Emmie, but I keep getting the weirdest

feeling that I keep seeing Sophie. But when

I try to hear or see her properly, shes

JOSH (Interrupting)

Vanished.

KYLEI thought I was going mad, youve seen her

too?

JOSH

Yeah. I think so.

KYLE

Maybe they did this?

JOSH

Yeah, but why.

KYLE

It says Help Me everywhere. Why?

JOSH

Someones in danger, trapped. Or something!

KYLE

Sophie?

JOSH

Maybe. If we could piece this mess togetherwe might find some clues and save Sophie.

KYLE

So thats what all these symbols could be?

JOSH

Yeah, I reckon so. They look a little bit

like Hieroglyphics!

KYLE

You mean if we piece them together

correctly they might make words?

JOSH

Its just a theory.

Josh wanders over to a flip chart and tears away a page and

throws it on the floor. They look around the room and put

the symbols on paper. Every now and again picking up an

item and drawing them in different ways, tearing away more

paper and laying it across the floor.

On the floor across bean bags asleep- Montage.

INT. THE WRECKED HANGOUT - MORNING

The boys are still asleep. Emmie sneaks in to retrieve her

bag that she left behind before but Josh is asleep on it.

She tries to pull it from him without waking him, but not

carefully enough, Josh wakes up.

JOSH

Emmie?

EMMIE

Dont worry, Im not stopping, I just

forgot my bag.

Josh passes it to her

But on her way out she notices the board of symbols, and

recognises them.

EMMIE

Where did you learn those symbols?

JOSHI dont know them... I dont have a clue

what they mean.

EMMIE

Then why have you written them there?

They were written all over the room. We

just put them together. Do they mean

something to you?

EMMIEYeah last summer me and Sophie made up

this language so we could pass messages to

each other in class without anyone knowing

what they meant.

JOSH

Really? Then what does it say?

EMMIE

I think some letters are missing, but Im

pretty sure it says Help Me, [Somecompany] help me.

Kyle begins to wake up.

JOSH

Well that was a waste of time. That doesnt

make sense. Help me is written everywhere.

But what about [Some]?

KYLE

Thats the company my dad used to work for,

before it got taken over by this new

company.

EMMIE

Who did it get taken over by?

JOSH

I bet you anything it was Mosquito!

KYLE

But you still dont believe us, do you

Emmie?

EMMIE

Its ok, you needed proof, but you have to

JOSH

So what are we waiting for? Well go

tonight, once all the workers have left.

EMMIE

Good idea.

The trio reunited, leave to head out for the industrial

site where they suspect the mosquito headquarters are.

EXT. A STREET ON AN INDUSTRIAL ESTATE - DAY

Outside the Headquarters the 3 Teens are looking at their

map.

JOSHI think this is it.

EMMIE

Yeah What next?

JOSH

No point just standing here, lets go in.

KYLE

What if we get caught

END ACT FOUR

Estate)Location-: TBC!

ACT FIVE

Inside the building, the Trio enters what seems to be

Mosquitos secret base.

KYLE:

What is this place?

The trio split up, JOSH dives straight in with looking

through files and paperwork.

EMIE goes on the computer. Kyle reluctantly wanders around,

looking at everything.

JOSH

I dunno, some sort of headquarters?

EMMIE

Maybe. Something here must tell us where

Sophie and the others are.

All of these seem to be receipts

EMMIE

Receipts for what?

JOSH

Electronics I think. I dont really

understand.

JOSH slips some of the paper into his bag.

JOSH

Ill look it up later. Whatve you found

Emmie?

EMMIE

Nothing, I cant access the computer, its

password protected.

JOSH

Have you tried anything?

EMMIE

Yeah, a few choice words, but nothing.

Whatve you found Kyle?

Kyle is distracted, looking at various chemicals, not

listening.

JOSH

Kyle?

He still doesnt hear

EMMIE

Kyle?

JOSH

Kyle!

Kyle jumps and knocks one of the bottles of the table and

onto the floor. It makes a loud noise. The 3 hear footsteps.

The preparations are complete. We are

Josh leaps behind a pile of boxes whilst Emmie hides under

the desk. Kyle, a bit slower that the others, struggles to

find a hiding place and stands behind the door.

liquids from the chemical table.

KYLE

Josh, Run!

Kyle throws 2 containers of liquid at them.

The doctors completely panic and jump around madly.

Whilst overlapping each others speech.

The doors blocked quick through the fire

escape!

An alarm goes off; flashing red lights go off through the

Perspex.

The pain!

The pair of doctors exhausts themselves in their panic and

are left in the middle of the room on their knees hugging

each other.

The doctors pick themselves up off the floor, brush

themselves down in exact unison, shake the last of it off,

grab sunglasses and head out the door, marching.

ACT SIX

EXT. A DARK ALLEYWAY. - DAY

The group run around a sharp corner in an alley straight

into 2 Hoods, who are tagging with a spray can, they try to

hide it before noticing its only the Trio.

losers!

Block cracks his knuckles menacingly and threateningly

approaches the trio.JOSH

Look! We dont have time for this!

KYLE

Mosquito are coming!

HOOD

Mosquito? Ive heard that name before

KYLE

The white-coats! Theyre real!

HOOD

I hardly believe that.

JOSH

You could fight us, if you wanted to. But

then well all be turned into drones or

HOOD

Drones? Mosquitos? Im not following, you

better explain, now!

JOSH

We can talk about it later, for now,

KYLE

Guys look!

Shadows and footsteps of the doctors approaching

HOOD

Fine, lets go

The teens leave and 2 Mosquito Doctors walk around the

corner

These children must be neutralised at all

costs.

ACT SEVEN

The trio walks up the stairs to their hangout.

They are busy chatting altogether about what has just

happened.

Do you really think Block is convinced? We have to look

out for each other now We know the password, anyone up

for checking out the files on the Mosquito? Theyll

change the password It could have the answers we need?

Dont be stupid, do you want to ever see the light of day

again? We still dont know what they do to the Kids theycapture theyll be after us now, we have to keep low

whos up for looking over the evidence I got?

They enter the room and look up.

There are new different symbols everywhere.

Sophie is stood in the middle of the room; they all look

shocked, a little happy, but weary.

EMMIE

Sophie!?

SOPHIE

You must come with me

KYLE

What if shes on their side, can we really

trust her?
