———The Columbiana Track Meet is the oldest contin-
uous county meet in Ohio, being held every yearsince 1904. Nine schools have won boys teamtitles. There were two divisions in 1942, 1971 and1973-76. The girls meet started in 1977.

EAST PALESTINE —The 111thannual Columbiana County Track andField Meet will be held Tuesday, May6, at Reid Stadium.The Salem boys have won five
straight county titles, while the Salemgirls made it a sweep last year.
Action will get under way at 4:30p.m. with the finals in the boys discusand high jump and girls shot put andlong jump.
The preliminaries in the runningevents also will start at 4:30 p.m.
There will be preliminaries in theboys and girls 100-meter dash, highhurdles and 200-meter dash. The eightfastest times will advance to the finals.
The top eight finishers will receivepoints on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.This will be the 46th time East
Palestine has hosted the boys meet, theoldest continous county meet in Ohio.
