Saraswati, in the middle of your fingers is Lord Govinda - in this manner you look at your

palms.

May there be peace on mortal, immortal and divine planes. I meditate upon the most

brilliant splendor of the Sun God. May he stimulate our intellect so that we are inspired

to take the right action at the right time.

Benefits of the Gayatri Japa :

Gayatri is the mother of the Vedas and is the destroyer of sins. There is nothing more

purifying, on the earth as well as in the heaven, than the Gayatri. Gayatri eventually

gives Liberation from the wheel of birth and death. The Gayatri Mantra is the most

universal, non-personal, holy prayer which can be chanted by any person belonging to

any country, irrespective of race, religion or sex. This Gayatri Mantra chanted 108 times

or atleast 54 or 28 times everyday, brings great Moksha or kalyana. One should thus

perform Sandhya - Vandana with this Gayatri Mantra three times everyday; in the
