Come and Try CyclingIf it’s been a while and you think you would like to begin cycling, than come along to our ‘come and try’. We can chat to you about the Social Cycling Group, and the ‘Rusty Riders Checklist’. We can also tell you when our next Austcycle Level 1 course is about to run. Our volunteers and experienced riders can talk to you about simple bike maintenance. We will have a number of bikes available that people can try on the day.

As many of you may be aware, the Seniors have been supplying newspapers in the dining room on a daily basis. As the newspapers are for the enjoyment of all in the centre, this year Tasty Plate and the Warrnambool Council will also share in the cost of providing these newspapers. Mah-jongMah Jong is a game that originated in China and is commonly played by four players. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols using bamboos, circles, dragons & the four winds. The tiles are placed into four walls, which form a rectangle. Each player has a wooden rack upon which to place the tiles. It bears some resemblance to the card game of Rummy. A beginner’s table is available for those new to the game.

Warrnambool Writers GroupThe Warrnambool Writing group has been meeting once a month since the early 1980’s. It was formed so local writers could share their work in a friendly, social and encouraging environment.
