New Morgan Three Wheeler Spy Photo ? The vehicle below was spotted in Port Townsend in early October. It was observed undergoing amphibious maneuvers
as well as road, sand, and mud tests. Some observers speculated that it was a new development of the Morgan LIFEcar
project as a Human Powered three wheeler in anticipation of rising ocean levels. The flotation system could not be
examined closely but from a distance the words “Nag’s Head” was believed to be seen, along with the word “The POT”.
The tiller steering at the third seat lead to some mis-direction during trials. The factory has made no comment about
the vehicle thus far. The MonoWheeler in the background was also undergoing similar trials with more success.

ANNOUNCING MORGANS OVER AMERICA VI- 2015
Experience North American History while driving your Morgan over scenic roads in the Eastern US and Can-
ada. Join with Morganeers from America, UK and other countries on a 38 day journey through 14 states and
5 Canadian provinces.
The Steve Roake Memorial Morgans Over America VI will start about September 10, 2015, in Savannah,
Georgia, and ending in Williamsburg/Norfolk West Virginia. It will include some of the roads and sites visited
in Morgans Over America IV, with many new places to see and visit.
This adventure is being organized again by Ken Miles of the Morgan Sport Car Club of Canada, the Morgan
Owners Group North West, and Elaine Fisher of the Morgan Sports Car Club of Northern California, and the

ganeers in shipping the vehicles to the US.
Steve Roake, in whose memory we are doing this trip, a long time member of the Morgan Sports Car Club of
Northern California and many other antique car clubs, along with Jeremy Harrison and Keith Cox of the UK
Morgan Clubs, organized the first three Morgans Over America Trips.
Mark your calendars, indicate your interest in the adventure, and follow along on our blog http://

Midlander's Report
The Midlander's continue to meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month at the Three Lion's Pub in Redmond (a
nice English pub) about 11:30 for lunch and lies. On occasion depending on what is happening we substitute
something special and do it elsewhere. In August we attended Dave's Picnic in Monroe which may become an
annual event as it was great. We also had lunch at the Three Lions pub the next weekend.
Our holiday party is December 10th in Arlington. We have a new Midlander in Edmonds Jack Faris with a red/
black 57 4 seater. Judy Runions sons had a Bob Nelson Memorial run through the cascade loop—we are go-
ing to try and make this an annual event with earlier announcement.

2012 Event:
One Lap of California Dave Hammond
This is a heads up about the tour I’m planning and I’d like to get feedback and interest from MogNW
members.
Tentatively starting on 9/12/12 in the bay area (Oakland is a large container port). The plan is to meet up/
spend the first night in the Monterey, CA area. After a visit to the aquarium head down the coast highway
thru Big Sur stopping at Nepenthes’ for lunch. Continuing down coast to Hearst Castle and on to the Santa
Barbara area, stopping at the wharf (Moss Motors is in Santa Barbara if anyone needed spares). Next, over
the mountains eastward to Yosemite and thru to Hwy 395, probably stopping at Bodie (a ghost town), north
on 395 to Lake Tahoe and perhaps Reno. Continuing north high in the sierra mountains with stops at Mt
Lassen (old volcano) and Crater Lake, Oregon. Continuing thru mid Oregon to the coast, coming out at Coos
Bay, then down the coast thru the Redwoods and the Napa Valley (wine Country). Thinking of going thru
Sacramento (Old Sacramento, Railroad museum) and ending back at Oakland.
I’m planning on about 200 mi/day and think it will be 3 weeks long. As we did on the New Zealand tour, I’ll
set up lodging and tour participants’ will confirm the reservations. Nominal fee to cover costs. I’d appreciate
expressions of interest and any comments you might have.
Several prospective tour participants have inquired about renting a Morgan or other British Sports Car for the
tour. If anyone has one they would be willing to rent out, or knows of somebody please let me know and I'll
put you together.

Minutes of the MOGNW Board Meeting
Oct 8, 2011
Griot’s Garage, Tacoma
Present: Mike Amos, Steve Hutchens, Mike Miles, Garth Morgan, Heinz Stromquist, Dick Tilden, and Cati Waterman.
Absent: Jane Cowan, Ken Miles and Pat Miles. Guests: David Crandall and Claire and Bob Hauge.
Procedure and Reports
Prior to the meeting we enjoyed a presentation on auto detailing by the Griot’s staff using Garth’s Audi as an example.
Call to order and welcome by Dick at 11:41
Adoption of the agenda
Approval of the minutes of the July 16th Board meeting: Cati moved to accept the minutes, seconded by Mike. Passed.
Financial report to September 30, Cati Waterman: We have money. Oct. 31, 2011 bank balance is $7,376. Website
hosting is due. There was discussion of Canadian and U.S. dues, with the decision to maintain the currencies at par
and keep the dues at $24 by December 31, $30 January 1 and after. Mike will handle corrections on the website, in
the Mogazine, and the dues form.
Old Business
Biennial Gathering, Steve Hutchens: Discussion focused on maintaining the traditional February biennial dinner, per-
haps alternating between northern and southern biased locations. Leavenworth, La Conner, and Olympia were
mentioned as possibilities. The topic of Spud Mog was discussed and there was interest in promoting the event.
We should coordinate with Dave Hammond to avoid conflicting dates.
New Business
Proposed Amendments to Bylaws, Bob Hauge: There was discussion of potential revisions to the Bylaws, but they were
not formally presented.
Procedure Manual, Dick Tilden: Discussed the differences is job descriptions and policy.
Regalia, Garth Morgan: Regalia is intended as a breakeven activity and ultimately only T-shirts will be stocked to be the
function manageable. Embroidered items will be available “on demand” from local suppliers.
