And I thought I was a bigfan. Washington State Cougars,Philadelphia Eagles, and yes, SeattleSeahawks, my sports allegiances

run deep. But they are nothingcompared to the group of Seahawkssuperfans that make up the very

core of the 12th Man.Im talking about the fans whobegin tailgating at 5:30 a.m. asNancy Campbell does. e fans

that tattoo images of Seahawks upand down their legs, like BryanMurphy does. e fans who morph

from 65,000 to one on gameday,focused on rattling the brains ofopposing players.

voted and a little bit crazy.Last year our Seahawks sp

section focused on the brandVirginia Mason Athletic Cenis season, it seemed like at to focus on the very thingmakes sports go: fans. is wespecially easy since the Seahhave such a faithful (and loulowing.

I interviewed ve of the bfans I could nd in the area,Murphy (Hawkend), Efrain(Charro Hawk), Chris Johns(WeeHawk), Jimbo Sabado (bell Dude) and Nancy Camp(Mrs. Cowbell). ese are peyou may have seen, or moreheard, at games. eir prolon pages six and seven of thtion.

It was fun getting to knowas we spoke, and I was struckthree big similarities in all vthe fans I interviewed.

First, they all suer from sindecision. When you ask onthem to pick a favorite Seahathat is. Trying to get a maybTatupu, no wait, Darryl Tappwait... was akin to prying a hole cover o with a toothbrwasnt working. Murphy masaid it best (aer refusing to answer): ats like asking wmy favorite daughter.
