Trick or treat plant sale
A trick or treat plant sale to benefi t the Bee-ville Garden Club will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at 178 Fairway Ridge Rd. in Beeville. Attendees are asked to wear a mask.
The sale will feature succulent gardens, driftwood planted with bromeliads, orchids, bulbs, iris and many more selections.
Ander-Wesser VFD fundraiser
The Ander-Wesser Vol-unteer Fire Department will host their 33rd an-nual barbecue fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. Barbecue plates of chicken and sausage will be sold for $10 each –carryout only catered by Firepit Junction.
There will be a drive-through bake sale and raffl e as well. Raffl e tickets are $5 each or fi ve for $20. The draw-ing will be held Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. at the monthly meeting. Credit cards are accepted, and donations are appreciated.
The fi re department is located at 3306 E. FM 1961 in Goliad.
Falls City Craft Market
Enjoy a day of shopping at the Falls City Craft Market on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Falls City Commu-nity Hall on Highway 181 in Falls City.
More than 60 area vendors will offer jewelry, home décor, pottery, quilts, leather goods, handmade soaps, wood crafts, wreaths, seasonal and holiday items, ce-ramics, beauty products, pickled veggies, home-made jelly and candy, baked goods, kettle corn, snow cones, tamales, and much more. Burgers, snacks, and drinks will be available and children can create their own crafts in the Kids’ Craft Corner.

Main Street Facade Grant
The Goliad Main Street Board of Directors is now accepting applications for the Fall 2020 Paint, Façade Repair & Signage Project Reimbursement
Grant. Applications must be received in the Main Street Offi ce (City Hall) by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Any building owner (or store propri-etor/tenant with writ-ten authorization from the owner) within the designated Main Street District, can apply for the semi-annual awarded $1,000 grant. TIM Responder Training Course
A TIM Responder Train-ing Course will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon or 1-5 p.m. at the Bee County Expo Center.
The National TIM Re-sponder Training Pro-gram was developed by responders, for respond-ers, and was designed to promote consistent train-ing of all responders to achieve the three objec-tives of the TIM National Unifi ed Goal: Responder Safety; Safe, Quick Clear-ance; & Prompt, Reliable, Interoperable Communi-cations.

GISD Gold CardsGoliad County residents
who are at least 65 years old, active members of the Goliad Independent School District Retired Personnel Association and active members of the military are eligible to receive a Gold Card from the Goliad ISD.
The Gold Card provides free general admission to all Goliad ISD sponsored activities. The cards do not have an expiration date and may be used from year to year as long as the card holder meets the qualifying criteria. Existing card holders will not need a new card.
Gold Cards may be picked up from the Go-liad ISD administration offi ce at 161 N. Welch St.
