When you are hired to work for your employer , you have an obligation to act on behalf of your organization, to promote your employer interest.

Loyalty is sacrifice without any expectation of rewards.

Morality requires neither blind loyalty nor total submission to the organization.

Conflict of interest Conflict of interest arises when employee at any level have

private interest that collides with that of organization.

Conflict of interest is a risky situation, employees should promptly extricate themselves from such conflicts or avoid them from the start.

Conflicts of interest may exist when employees have financial investments in suppliers or distributors with whom their organizations do business.

Abuse of Official Position Using one’s official position for personal gain is likely

to violate one’s obligations to the organization.

Example: Using corporate funds for private purposes

such health club memberships, extravagant parties, vacation travel, etc.

The Improper use of a position of influence, power or authority by an individual against another individual or group.

Abuse of official position, in the form of political corruption, is the use of legislated powers by government officials for illegal private gain. OR

Using one’s official position for personal gain. OR

Misuse of organization resources, such as official time, property, staff and other resources.

Any improper and unwelcomed behavior that might reasonably be

Expected to cause offence to another. Harassment includes words,

gestures or actions which may annoy, alarm, abuse or causepersonal dishonor, or an offensive work environment. It may include one-off incident or a series of many incidents.
