SEQUENCE OF SHOTS:

- Harry runs to the rocket.

- Harry enters the rocket "Ok go quick before something else goes wrong."

- Drew looks to the empty co-pilot seat "What happened to the others?"

- Harry takes his seat "Gone, like we should be."

- Drew slams on the launch button.

- The Rocket blasts slowly off.

INT. ROCKET COCKPIT - MOON AFTERNOON

Shua, 28 Canadian botanist, moves into the co-pilot's seat.

SHUADon't worry I've got co-pilot.

Drew, 30 American pilot, rolls his eyes. He taps the console a few times.

DREWWe're a little heavy, we need to drop something. Shua how much do you weigh.

Shua looks back unaware of Drew's disdain for him.

SHUAAbout 175.

Drew rolls down the passenger side window, as if it was the car from Vacation.

SHUAWhy?

Drew feigns surprise.

DREW(Deadpan)

Wow, that is exactly how much we need to loose.

Drew pushes, Shua out the window.

A collective gasp erupts from the astronauts behind him. Drew looks back and shrugs.

DREWSorry I couldn't deal with him for another day, and we've got another 150 before we get back to Earth.

The other occupants shrug and agree.

DREWPlus he killed my pet pig.

EXT. MOON "ATMOSPHERE" - MOMENTS LATER

Shua is falling towards the surface looking up at the rocket as it rockets into space towards the pale blue dot. He flips around to see how close he is to the

EXT. MOON SURFACE - CONTINUOUS

Shua lands face first, remarkably without cracking his helmet.

INT. MOON BASE CONTROL CENTRE - MOMENTS EARLIER

Travis is etching out the "re" in "centre". Out of the air-lock window, we can see Shua falling semi slowly to the surface. He lands with a silent thud.

Travis looks out the window and knocks on it.

EXT. MOON SURFACE - SAME

Shua gets up and dusts himself off. Travis is in the background slamming on the air-lock to no avail.

INT. MOON BASE CONTROL CENTRE - CONTINUOUS

Travis leans his head against the door.

TRAVISOh, wait.

Travis presses the power button for his in-helmet radio.

TRAVISShua do you read?

EXT. MOON SURFACE - CONTINUOUS

Shua is strolling along, almost frolicking around the base.

TRAVIS (O.S.)Shua do you read?

Shua looks around for the source of the voice.

SHUAGod?

INT. MOON BASE CONTROL CENTRE - SAME

Travis sighs and shakes his head.

TRAVISNo Shua it's Travis, remember we were on this mission together?

SHUARight... I knew that. You're one of the guys that died.

Travis opens his mouth to say something, but takes a brief moment of thought. He opens his mouth to speak again.

TRAVISWhat are you doing here?

SHUAOh, I accidentally fell out of the window.

TRAVIS(to himself)

Why did we even install rolling windows onto a space craft.

(to Shua)Ok, well I haven't heard from Dale in a while. I want you to go check the comms center, to see if he hasn't gone and killed himself. That wouldn't end well for me.

INT. MOON BASE COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE - EARLIER

Dale stands on the inside of an open air-lock, Travis and Harry stand outside of it.

DALEFine. But if I get stuck in here and I die, my ghost is going to float back to earth and haunt the shit out of you two.

TEXT: 5 MINUTES LATER

The air-lock is closed and dale is standing inside looking out at Travis and Harry.

DALEYou two are so getting haunted.

INT. MOON BASE CONTROL CENTRE - MOON AFTERNOON

Travis shakes the flashback out of his head.

EXT. MOON BASE COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE - MOMENTS LATER

Shua bounces his way to the shut air-lock. He looks inside and finds Dale sitting wallowing in his loneliness.

SHUADale?

DALEGod?

SHUA(to himself)

So it wasn't just me...(to Dale)

I don't know he must be around, but this is Shua.

DALEThank god, you've got to get me out of here!

SHUAAlright give me a minute.

EXT. MOON BASE COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE, REAR - MOMENTS LATER

Shua is staring at the cables coming out of the base. He yanks on a cluster of them. One cable pops out.

All the lights on the base go out. Shua looks around. He plugs it back in.

All the lights turn back on and Shua walks back towards Dale.

INT. MOON BASE COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE - MOMENTS LATER

Shua walks through the outer air-lock door and stops for a moment. He turns back round and closes the outer air-lock

DALEWhat are you doing you idiot?

The air-lock pressurizes and the inner air-lock door opens.

Dale takes a step out, his mouth hanging open in his helmet.

DALEHow... But, this was.

SHUAWell you can't open the inner air-lock to a depressurized space, that would ruin everything in the centre.

DALESo you mean all I was doing by locking myself in was repressurizing the building?

SHUAI don't know what you mean.

DALEI didn't have to be left up here!?

(to himself)Oh, those guys are get even more haunted than before.

SHUAWell we should probably get Travis out then.

DALEHe's locked up here too? Well I guess I can kill him in person.

EXT. MOON BASE CONTROL CENTRE - LATER

Shua is in the air-lock pressurizing it. Travis takes a step out and hugs Shua.

INT. MOON BASE REC ROOM - LATER

Travis, Dale and Shua are standing around a ping-pong table. They have the top halfs of their space suits off.

Shua is trying to bounce a ping pong ball, but is having trouble even though the lower gravity should be working to his advantage.

DALESo, tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now.

TRAVISWe're in the same situation man, there's no reason to feel singled out.

DALEYou were poised to let me be the only one left up here for who knows how long. Christ, if Captain Canada hadn't shown up I would have died locked in that damn centre.

Shua's paddle misses the ping pong ball and he hits himself in the face with it knocking him over.

TRAVISI would have too! You're not unique in that you almost died and were saved by luck. Look at literally anyone who is still alive right now.

DALEFuck it, lets at least figure out a plan to survive up here till we can fix the communications array and call for help.

Shua pops up from the ground.

SHUAOh, surviving is gonna be easy.

INT. MOON BASE GREEN HOUSE

Shua leads Travis and Dale through the rows and rows of fresh fruits and vegetables.

SHUATheoretically we can stay up here perpetually.

Travis picks a grape from a vine and squishes it.

DALEWhy haven't we been eating this stuff while we've been up here.

SHUAWe have, for almost every meal. Could you tell it was food and not powder?

DALEWell it's not my fault you grow food that tastes exactly like the freeze-dried shit.

SHUAAnd you haven't noticed this building before? I mean it's completely green.

EXT. MOON BASE GREEN HOUSE

The building is green with giant, living vines squirming all around it.

INT. MOON BASE GREEN HOUSE

Travis raises his hand.

TRAVISTo be fair, I am color blind.

INT. MOON BASE REC ROOM

Travis is playing video games and Dale is doing Sudoku. Shua is drawing something elaborate. They are in their flight suits.

SHUA(Not looking away from his drawing)

So... What do we do now?

Dale looks up from his number puzzle.

DALEWell, we should probably take a look at that communications array, but I'd say we earned a little R&R.

They both go back to what they were doing.

SHUAAnyone want to play a board game?

He gets no response from either man. Shua goes back to his drawing.

Shua lifts his head up.

SHUAWant to break out the karaoke machine?

DALENo.

TRAVIS(Simultaneously)

Yes. I mean, no...

Both Travis and Shua look disappointed.

Shua opens his mouth to speak.

DALEDon't

Dale eyes Shua. Shua closes his mouth, and Dale turns back to his Sudoku.

SHUAWant to play hide and seek around the base?

DALEWhat are we twelve-I mean yes that's a great Idea. I'll be it first you guys go hide.

Shua gets up to go hide. Travis puts his hand on Shua's shoulder.

TRAVISNo, no, no, no, no. We're not doing that. But we'll get out of your hair. Shua, let's go se what we can do about the comms array.

INT. MOON BASE COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE

Travis is kicking back listening to music, Shua brought his drawing with him. They have their space suit bottoms on.

TRAVISSee? Now this is much better, no more negative Nancy.

SHUASo do you want to play a board game?

TRAVISNot particularly.

The music turns off and an alarm starts to blare. The giant screens on the wall blink red.

ALARM SYSTEMIntruder alert! Unauthorized vehicle incoming.

Shua and Travis jump up, Travis looks alarmed, Shua looks excited.

SHUAUFO!!! We're gonna meet aliens!

TRAVISI don't think that's what's going on.

Travis stares at the control panel.

TRAVISShit, how do we pull up a radar or something?

Travis starts hitting buttons randomly. As he does random things start to happen in the base. The screen changes hue a few times. The language on the screens change along with the audio system.

ALARM SYSTEMAlerte intrus ! Non autorisée du véhicule entrant .

ALARM SYSTEMIntruder Alert ! Nicht autorisierte Fahrzeug eingehenden .

ALARM SYSTEMAlerta Intruso ! Entrada de vehículos no autorizados.

All the while: A rotating heart shape bed and a fully stocked bar pops out from the wall then retracts into it just as quickly. A disco ball drops down and a laser light show starts.

The inner air-lock door opens and Dale rushes in. Travis stops hitting buttons and looks back at Dale.

TRAVISOk you can't blame me for this. Why wouldn't you label the control panel?

INT. MOON BASE COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE - MINUTES LATER

Dale sits at the control panel. The room is mostly back to normal but the english alarm is still sounding but much quieter, and the disco ball and the lights that shine on it seem to be too stubborn to return to it's compartment. Shua is on a ladder taping paper over the lights.

The screen now shows a radar, with a blip moving towards the base.

DALEYes, yes! This could be our ticket out of here.

TRAVISOr our ticket to an early grave. We don't know who it is.

SHUAAliens.

TRAVIS & DALEIt's not aliens.

TRAVISBut considering how many enemies we have, it's a good chance they won't be friendly.

DALEEnemies you have, you're the only American here. People love Canada, and no one hates England.

INT. ROCKET SHIP

The crew of the initial mission to the moon are all sleeping in bunks. Harry, wakes up from under his Scottish flag blanket. No one else has flags as their blanket.

HARRY(In an extra strong Scottish accent.)

I feel a disturbance in the force.

TRAVISI guess that's true but, I'm a people person. I make friends real easily. You? Well, you're kind of a dick.

CUT TO BLACK

NEXT TIME ON MOON CHRONICLES:

NARATORNext time on Moon Chronicles.

SEQUENCE OF SHOTS:

- An alien space craft hovers over the base.

- Shua plays the song from "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" on a children's toy glockenspiel.

- The aliens, which look like the aliens from Kerbal Space Program, lower into the base. Travis goes to greet them.

- The aliens shoot Travis, Dale laughs, then gets shot.

- The aliens kindly greet Shua.

- Travis is laying on the ground writhing in pain. "See? Great with people."
