Enrolment and Learning In-

crease through Demonstra-

tion (UKAID ILM-IDEAS)

• With the project activities

well underway, an official

visit to Muzaffargarh was

undertaken to conduct in-

terviews for the positions

of M&E Officer, Community

Outreach Education Officers

(2 females) and Admin and

Finance Assistant. Further-

more, TORs were devel-

oped, and Participants pro-

files were prepared.

• Meetings were held with Ad-

visor ILM-UKAID Dr. Nazir

to discuss the revised work

plan, and lists of schools

were acquired (2600) for

Tehsil Muzaffargarh and Kot

Addu, with the identification

of 10 Schools identified for

Tehsil Muzaffargarh (6 girls

schools & 4 boys schools)

with the assistance of the

Department of Education.

• Preparation was also made

for the conducting of the

baseline survey.

VTEC Success Stories

The Vocational Technical and

Educational Center- Rawal-

pindi team shared the suc-

cess stories of its training par-

ticipants with the staff. It was

encouraging to hear that most

of the participants who were

trained in various vocational

courses such as, Waitress-

ing & Housekeeping, Cooking

training Motor cycle repairing

and Excavator Operator Train-

ing, have found good employ-

ment opportunities in their re-

spective sectors.

Training of Trainers-19

The Ten days Training of Train-

ers (ToT) – 19 (Roomi S. Hayat

Signature Training), was suc-

cessfully launched under the

Management Development

Programme on the 28th of

March 2013. This training is

exclusively designed for the

trainers involved in design,

organization and delivery of

training. The training has par-

Accelerated Learning Pro-gramme (ALP), FATA. Phase 2The Accelerated Learning Pro-gramme (ALP), FATA- Phase 2 has been initiated with the gen-der wise enrollment percentage comprising of 68% boys and 32% girl students. The project focuses on bringing approxi-mately 1,000 out of school chil-dren back to education in Bajaur and Mohmand Agency of FATA. The inception workshop was conducted last month with the hiring of 50 teachers. The proj-ect activities included the estab-lishment of the learning centers and the development of teach-er’s modules.
