6. Any other important information/activities:

I. TRAINING PROGRAMMES/WORKSHOPS ORGANISED:

The Institute organized various training programmes during the year 2012-13 as per the targets assigned by the headquarters. These training programmes included Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP); Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Programme (ESDP); Management Development Programmes; Industrial Motivational Campaign; Seminars/Workshops on IPR, Bar-Coding, Vendor Development Programme (VDP). These programmes were organised for different target groups like Educated Unemployed Youth, Women, Weaker Sections like SC/ST/PHC, etc. The details of the programme are given in Annexure-IV

II. MEETING OF STATE LEVEL ADVISORY BOARD: The meeting of State Level Advisory Board (SLAB) attached to MSME-DI-Goa was convened on 17th December 2012. The Meeting was chaired by Shri. Parimal Rai, Principal Secretary (Inds), Govt. of Goa. Shri. Faizi. O. Hashmi, IAS, Director of Industries, Govt. of Goa, who is vice chairman of the SLAB was present. The minutes of the meeting were prepared and sent to the Chairman for confirmation. The confirmed minutes would be circulated among members of the SLAB. and would be sent to headquarters.

III. MICRO, SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISES-CLUSTER

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (MSE-CDP):

The machinery for the Common Facility Centre (CFC) has been procured and installed. The CFC will be commercialized in the month of April or May 2013 after its formal inauguration.

IV. MEETINGS, CAMPAIGNS, SEMINARS ATTENDED/ADDRESSED BY OFFICERS:

During the year, Director & officers attended several meetings convened by Govt. Departments, Financial Institutions and other agencies as per the brief details given in the following table:

IV. POSTINGS/TRANSFERS/RETIREMENTS: Shri Shashi Kumar. M. reported for duty as Asstt. Director (IMT) Grade-I, w.e.f. 2nd July 2012, consequent to his selection to the said post by UPSC. Shri Shashi Kumar, initially reported to o/o DC (MSME) for an Orientation Training Programme of 3 weeks. After completion of orientation training he reported to our office on 2nd July 2012.

Shri. Uday Kumar Bhat, Asstt. Director (Mech), Gr-II, joined his duties consequent upon his transfer from Br. MSME-DI, Portblair to MSME-DI, Goa, w.e.f. 17th September 2012. Shri. SR Crasta, Asstt. Director (Mech) was relieved of his duties w.e.f. 5/10/2012, consequent upon his transfer to MSME-DI, Bangalore

V. TRAINING OF OFFICERS: Shri, Shashi Kumar, M. Asstt. Director (IMT) attended a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), from 17th to 21st September 2012. The Programme was organized by o/o DC (MSME), at NIESBUD, Noida. VI. IMPLEMENTATION OF HINDI: Facilitated Office Inspection regarding implementation of Hindi on 19th June 2012. The Inspection was carried out by Shri. ML Gupta, Dy. Director, Regional Office for Implementation of Hindi, Mumbai.

Quarterly Meetings were held under the chairmanship of the Director, to review the implementation of Hindi, in day-to-day official work.

Hindi Day and Hindi Fortnight were celebrated in the office from 14th to 28th September 2012. As part of the celebration, competitions were held and all the employees actively took part in the competitions.

VII. MISCELLANEOUS

Screening Committee Meeting was convened during the month to of May 2013, to consider grant of MACP to BS Harijan, MTS. The recommendation, which was sent to hqrs for approval was implemented subsequently.

The 65th year of Indian Independence was celebrated on 15th August in the premises of the Institute by hoisting the tricolor. Majority of the employees attended the celebration to mark the occasion.
