Livelihood Employment and Enterprise Development – LEED:
Institute of Rural Management (IRM) has
signed a project with PPAF, namely
Livelihood Employment and Enterprise
Development – LEED. The project aims
to provide training to 2,596 target
beneficiaries of D.G Khan and Rajanpur.
Activities for the month of November
include the training of 1,152 participants
in different vocational trades.
Planning for the month of December
includes the training of 750 participants.
Youth Economic Empowerment
Project YEEP – Rojhan
In this project 600 beneficiaries of Rojhan
will be trained in different vocational
trades. A total of 68 participants were
enrolled in the month of October, of them
48 have completed their training in the
same month whereas remaining 19
completed their training in the month of
November.
UN Home Based Worker Women
Project
IRM singed one month project with UN.
The duration of project is from November
to December 2014 with total target of 110.
During the month of November, IRM
successfully trained all the targeted
participants in following trades;
· Adda Work· Advance Tailoring· Fashion Designing· Jabbi Chaddar
Guddi Baji Project
The duration of Gudi Baji Project is from
May 2014 to December 2016. In this
project 5,700 women of Attock, Bhakkar,
Bhalwal, Jand, Jhelum, Khushab, Mandi
Bahauddin, Sohawa, Mianwali, Talagang
and Sargodha will be trained in Beautician
training. Activities for the month of
November 2014 include the training of 33
women of Attock, 30 of Jehlum, 32 of
Bhalwal, 115 of Pind Dadan Khan, 20 of
Mandi Bahawaldin, 30 of Bhakkar, 30 of
Khushab, 30 of Mianwali, 32 of Sargodha
and 47 of Quaidabad.
Next month's planning includes the
training of 180 women of different areas.
Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation
Project
IRM signed Southern Punjab Poverty
Alleviation Project with Government of
Pakistan. Activities for the month of
November include screening of 800
participants, submission of manuals and
other instructional material to PMU,
establishment of 14 training centers,
preparation of final draft for baby dress
designing and preparation of 5 manuals
for trainers. Other activities include the
training of 315 participants in three
different vocational trades and orientation
of staff.
Planning for the month of December
include the establishment of SPPAP office
in Ahmedpur.

enrolled and will be graduated in
December. This project aims to provide
an opportunity to the trained FATA youth,
who have gained experience through
Field Internship Programme, in setting up
the i r own bus iness or ge t t ing
employment.
IRD-Conflict Victims Support
Programme
IRD funded one year project to IRM. The
project aims to provide vocational skills
training to the youth of conflict hit areas
across KP. A total of 67 participants, as
pre identification by IRD, are trained
during the month of November.
VTEC Rawalpindi
During the month of November 2014
VTEC Rawalpindi enrolled overall 470
participants, of them 97 were enrolled in
Save the Children, 251 in LEED, 49 in
FIDA and 73 in Sungi.

support to the trained youth. Moreover,
other activities of YEEP Chakwal include
monthly meetings with NRSP, DMO
PLAN along with Gender focal person and
Advocacy officer YEEP PLAN to review
the progress and planning of events,
quarterly meeting with PLAN and PLAN
partner NGOs and participation in special
children day held at Special Children
School Chakwal.
Planning for the month of November 2014
includes four days M&E workshop PLAN
country office, preparation of project
completion report, submission of proposal
for phase II and preparation of log frame
and activities of YEEP Phase II.
FATA-DA Entrepreneurship Training
The project's achievements for the month
of November include training of 205
participants, of them 138 have completed 7
days training in November and the rest are
Punjab Skills Development Fund
(PSDF)
Punjab Skills Development Fund funded
another 'Skills for Market Phase-II'
project to IRM on the same terms and
conditions as of phase-I. The project is in
initial stage and aims to train 500 women
of district Bahawalpur till March 2015.
Progress for the month of November
includes the maintenance and repairing
of sewing machines, mobilization and
screening of new par t ic ipants ,
preparation of 3 manuals and orientation
of 48 staff members.
Youth Economic Empowerment
Project - Chakwal
As part of the project deliverables, MoU
with local enterprises and employers
were signed, IEC material was developed
and meeting with employers providing
input to TVET instructions in designing
competency and prevailing technology
