NOVEMBER 2016

THE BLUE ANGELS RETURN TO THE BEACH

United States Navy Blue Angels along with other military and civilian flight

teams, live entertainment, a street festival featuring static displays of aircraft

and military vehicles, simulators, recruitment booths, a kids area and more.

To the residents of Pablo Hamlet, this show means much more. Practice

flyovers begin earlier during that week. The noise can be unsettling for those

who have never heard it before, and exciting for those who know what to ex-

pect. Many of the residents bring chairs outside to view the flyovers during

practice time. Enjoy it however you choose and know the beach will be busy

that weekend.

INTENTION

“Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what

could be and asked why not .”

Robert F. Kennedy

The first step to accomplishing any task is believing that we can. We

begin with this belief and then figure out what we need to do to complete

the task.

But believing in our ability to accomplish something sometimes

requires considerable will. For one reason or another, there may be many

voices telling us we can’t or shouldn’t attempt a particular task. If we listen

to these voices, we have failed before we even try.

I will believe in my ability to do what needs to be done, and I will figure out a way to do it.

transformed into the backdrop for the most exciting air

acts and military demonstrations in the world. The free

event on November 5 and 6 will feature a dynamic over-

RESIDENT COUNCIL

RESIDENTS’ COUNCIL

INFORMATION

We had 16 residents present at our October

Residents’ Council meeting. The United Way is not

giving grants out related to taking seniors on outings so,

unfortunately, we won’t be able to pursue this.

Oak Harbor Church will not be able to sponsor

the November birthday party so the Residents’ Council

will be hosting a REALLY SUPER COMBINED

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER BIRTHDAY SHIN DIG!

Since the Exchange Club will be donating the

turkeys again this year for Thanksgiving, we will have

Turkey and side dishes at the November/December

Combined Birthday Party and as a real treat we are go-

ing to have FREE BINGO WITH PRIZES!!!!

I am VERY EXCITED about all of this!!!

SO, OUR NOVEMBER/DECEMBER COMBINED

BIRTHDAY AND FUN TIME WILL BE

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH at 1:00PM IN THE

COMMUNITY ROOM.

Come enjoy the turkey dinner, the birthday,

celebration and the really great free bingo with

prizes!!!
