MONTHLY BUSINESS CONNECTION June 2015
The President’s Corner…...
June 2015 Summer is here, and it’s exciting in Chesaning this year. There is an event or festival for everyone. Our community has out done themselves this year. I think there is something almost every weekend to do. It sure makes me proud to say I am from a town where so many people take time out of their busy schedules to volunteer to make things happen. You can jump right into summer with the ‘Gus Macker’, and follow it up with the ‘Mexican /American festival. River Rapids District Library will have an open house to kick off their summer reading program. The fairground has many new events happening this year, besides the Fair. Remember fireworks in the park are Wednesday July 1st (new date this year). River Days is mid-July, and friends of the amphitheater are pumping out some more music July 16th & 17th. By this time the Farmers Market will be in full swing and Broad Street Events will be underway. August brings the Fair and Old Gas Tractor events. In between all these events are many golf outings, motorcycle runs, corn hole tournaments and 5k’s. For a full list of events please contact Marcy at the Chamber. There are so many things going on, I hope I didn’t miss anything. If I did please let us know so we can get the word out there for you. If this is too much for you, you can also sit back and relax with an ice-cream cone. Or visit one of our many great restaurants for lunch or dinner. Cocktails are always good on the patio, sidewalk or porch. We are blessed to have several parks to enjoy also: Showboat Park, Cole Park, township playground and Peet Ponds. And don’t forget our wonderful river. You can always kayak, canoe, fish or explore. Remember rainy days always make good for bowling, inside golf, or shopping. So take time out of your busy schedules to enjoy life, and enjoy Chesaning. Our small town has a lot to offer, so take advantage of it. Thanks to all the volunteers for making Chesaning a happening place this summer. President
Bobbi Bates
