Cadence Concerts: An Update We tried something new this year; not one but two Cadence concerts over the weekend of December 14 & 15. Cadence performed on both occasions to their unusual high standard and the audience had a great time. It was great to see many folk from the wider community and for some, Cadence at BUC, has become a tradition. The total revenue raised for BUC was $2,452.19. This would not have been possible without two teams of enthusiastic volunteers, who welcomed, guided, set-up, cleaned-up and were the smiling face of BUC. The volunteer bar team had a special role on Saturday evening and they did a great job, with everything going very smoothly. Thank you to all. A Big Thank You from the Beach United Church

Thank You: Inter-faith Lunch Program On Thursdays at the Inter-faith Lunch, as well as serving delicious food, there are also books available for the guests to enjoy. This would not be possible without the donations of books from "The Great Escape" book store on Kingston Road. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

White Gifts Thank you so much to everyone who wrote a card with a message of hope and peace and added $5 into the envelope. An amazing 95 envelopes were collected and these were shared with the guests from the Thursday, December 19th Interfaith Lunch. As our guests add energy to the building every week, these tokens of care added a smile to many faces.

Caring for Each Other This wonderful photograph shows friends getting together at Christmas. It doesn't matter that some no-longer live close by; the connection is maintained by regular visits. This is often the way that pastoral care happens at BUC - friends caring for friends. Thank you to all those who kept the connection by delivering poinsettias to friends who are unable to come to us. These connections are maintained throughout the year by phone calls, cards, visits, conversations, driving and much more. Thank you for all the caring you show to others. It is a blessing.
