Residence Hall Information Technology/Internet Fee is assessed to all students living on campus.

Residents who live in the halls for at least one semester, are enrolled in 12 credits or more, and maintain a 3.75 cumulative grade point average are eligible to receive a single room for the price of a double as an incentive for academic achievement.

Meal Plan CostsAll students living on campus are required to purchase a meal plan each semester. Students can select from one of the four meal plan choices listed at right. The dining dollars can be used for coffee and other grab and go items. All meals in Rimrock Café are set up as all-you-care-to-eat and allow students to select from a variety of food options. Please note that meals must be used within each week. Dining dollars will carry from Fall semester to Spring, but will need to be used by the end of the Spring semester.

U-CARD

The U-Card is your identification, meal plan card, and a convenient debit card for campus purchases.TheBusinessOperationsoffice(SUB223)willissueyour U-Card. They will encode the magnetic strip on the back of your ID, and your U-Card will then be ready to use. All students may deposit money in their U-Card account; additional deposits may be made at anytime during the semester. Your U-Card deposit may be included on your bill at the beginning of the semester and may be included in your installment payments if you would like.

Your U-Card is your responsibility. In the event it is lost or stolen, you are liable for any charges until the Business Operations Office is notified.

Your U-Card account may be closed at the end of a semester by completing a withdrawal request at the Business Operations Office, (SUB 223). A refund will be mailed to you less any financial obligation to the University.

An account with no activity for one full year will be closed.

Student Health insuranceStudents enrolled in seven or more credits are required to have some form of health insurance. A student health insurance policy is available to MSU Billings students. Before registering, students will be asked to elect or waive the student health insurance. All students are eligible for health insurance if enrolled for 4 or more credits. The waiver or election process must be completed by the 15th class day of fall and spring semesters. The premiums are paid on a semester basis along with tuition and fees. Those students taking the insurance for spring semester will also be covered during the summer semester, even if they are not enrolled in summer classes. Complete information about the Student Health Insurance program provided by The Montana University Insurance Consortium is available at www.university.bcbsmt.com

Please note: All students are eligible to use Student Health Services, whether or not they enroll in the student insurance program.

Apply for a PIN #. This will be your electronic signature when you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Your parent will also need a PIN # if his or her information is required ontheFAFSA.Gotowww.fafsa.ed.gov to apply for a pin and to complete the FAFSA.

When your FAFSA has been processed you will receive an e-mail notificationfromthefederalprocessordirectingyoutoasecurelinktoprint your Student Aid Report (SAR). If you accept a Stafford Loan, you are required to complete the online loan counseling before the loan funds will be disbursed to your student account. First-time Stafford Loan borrowers at MSUB are required to complete a Master Promissory Note. Both are available at: www.msubillings.edu/finaid/Loans.htm.
