1. Accessing Solution Control Interface (SCI)
a. Tasks performed through SCI
Solution Control Interface is used for: i. Monitoring status of Genesys Applications, Alarms and Hosts ii. Starting/ Stopping Genesys Applications iii. Switchover between Primary and Backup applications
b. Access procedure
To access SCI, go to Start All Programs Genesys
Solutions Management Layer Solution Control Interface
Start Solution Control Interface
The login screen will pop-up. Click on Details and key in following
details:
Username : Genesys username
Password : Genesys password
Application : SCI (without the quotes)
Host : 172.19.112.10 (without the quotes)
Port : 2020 (without the quotes)

Click OK. The Solution Control Interface screen should appear.

2. Monitoring Applications/ Hosts
a. Monitoring Hosts
In SCI, go to Hosts. In the top-right frame, the host information is
displayed along with the status.
All the hosts should be Up.
b. Monitoring Applications
In SCI, expand Applications and expand all the sub-folders. The
application status is available here.

c. Starting/ Stopping Applications
To Start/ Stop a stopped/ started application, right click on the
application and click Start/ Stop.

d. Switching between Primary/ Backup Applications
To Switch a backup application to primary mode, right click on the
backup application and click Switch-Over.
e. Monitoring/ Clearing Alarms
To monitor alarms, go to Active Alarms. To clear an alarm, right
click on the alarm to be cleared and select Clear Alarm.
