I developed curriculum and a resource booklet for the forensics class. 07/2007 – 06/2013 Doctors Charter School of Miami Shores for Miami-Dade County Public Schools Science Department Chair, Biology, Advanced Placement Biology, Forensics, Middle School Science, and Earth Science Teacher Our school attained a track record of 100% graduation and post-high school education earned them an “A” rating, a Gold Seal of Excellence from the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools, and recognition by U.S. News National Rankings for Best High Schools. I led the science department in meetings in which we analyzed FCAT data and determined areas needed for reinforcement, resulting in improvements in science results over time. I led the science department in organizing events such as the science fair and events with the community coordinated with Fairchild Tropical Gardens. I managed the budget and obtained a grant for additional funding.
