Review-Page 35 Slide 3 Idioms We are going to review the idioms list as a class. Pick two idioms and write your idiom in your interactive notebook. Draw a picture of its literal meaning and use the words in a sentence. As we do we are going to identify metaphors, personification, hyperbole, and idioms. We will also find rhyming pairs and alliteration. Slide 5 figurative language Slide 6 Figurative language is the use of words that go beyond their ordinary meanings. Figurative language requires you to use your imagination to figure out the author's meaning. The waters reflection was like the sun on glass. Slide 7 When words paint pictures in Your Mind.
