memorabilia was only bought byRutherglen-based' David Reid forhis own collection last month.But he has decided to sell it on
and expects heavy bidding for thecar by fans of the singer and actor,who died on Christmas Day 1995.Over the past 35 years the
Ferrari has travelled from theHollywood Hills, where Dean'Martin partied with buddies Frank'Sinatra and Samrily Davis Jnr, viaSwitzerland, to Mr Reid'sshowroom in Rutherglen.
Martin was the first owner of thecar in the 60s at the height of hishind-drinking, hell-raising fame.He is back in the spotlight with
the remake of Hollywoodblockbuster Ocean's Eleven, starringGeorge Clooney.and Brad Pitt.Marn:inand the rest of the Rat
Pack starred in the original 1960sversion of the crime caper.The car was put on the on-line
auction site eBay to give itworldwide coverage so morecollectors have the chance to takepart before the deadline for bids atlunchtime on Wednesflay.
Bidding starts at £60,000 but MrReid expects it will fetch a muchhigher price.The Ferrari has black leather
interior and wood-trimmeddashboard. It has completed theBasel to Paris Rally three times buthas clocked up just 26,000 miles in36 years.Mr Reid added: "It's a beautiful
example of a classic Ferrari.There's no evidence of any winebottles - Dean must have clearedthem out before he sold it."
