THURSDAY It’s time to explore the bens, lochs and glens of rural Scotland. Take in:

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs

The National Park boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the world from the breathtaking mountains and glens of the Trossachs to the vast tranquil beauty of Loch Lomond, the UK’s largest body of water.

The Glengoyne Distillery For a different perspective on whisky, try matching it with handmade chocolates. Stay at the stunning Cameron House for 2 nights, dining tonight at the hotel. The world-renowned bonnie banks of Loch Lomond conjure images of a majestic world of heather-dappled glens and roaring open fires. What better place to watch Highlands unfold than from Cameron House? FRIDAY This morning take a cruise on stunning Loch Lomond: The loch is 24.5 miles (39 km) long, the largest freshwater loch in Scotland. It has more than 30 islands, the largest of which is Inchmurrin. The Loch Lomond and Trossachs area was awarded National Park status in July 2002. After lunch, visit Stirling Castle. Both historically and architecturally It is one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland: Most of the principal buildings date from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. A few structures of the fourteenth century remain, while the outer defences fronting the town date from the early eighteenth century. Several Scottish Kings and Queens have been crowned at Stirling, including Mary, Queen of Scots, in 1542. There have been at least eight sieges of Stirling Castle, including several during the Wars of Scottish Independence, with the last being in 1746, when Bonnie Prince Charlie unsuccessfully tried to take the castle.

This evening, for your final tour dinner, transfer to Glasgow’s famous West End and the equally famous Ubiquitous Chip restaurant, one of the best in Glasgow: Continually inspired by Scotland’s larder, The Chip has grown to become something of a Glasgow icon. The courtyard dining room is one of the most endearing magical spaces to eat out in the area. A fine dining menu is on offer in the restaurant and a lighter brasserie menu in the various bars, mezzanine and roof terrace. Transfer back to Cameron House. SATURDAY Today is for last minute shopping, after which, you’ll head to the airport, arriving home later today. If you are flying home from Edinburgh airport, the transfer is 75 minutes; if Glasgow airport, only half an hour.
