_____________
“Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than
me is not worthy of me.” (Jesus, Matthew 10:37)
We praise God Moments for Meditation
Christmas Call to Worship and Songs Welcome and Opportunities at CCC
Worship in Prayer and Giving
We hear God’s Word Matthew 8:19-22; 12:46-50; 10:34-37 Sermon, “Kingdom Family Values”
Response in Song Benediction and Postlude
“I believe it to be a grave mistake to present Christianity as something charming and popular with no offense in it.
We cannot blink the fact that Jesus meek and mild was so stiff in his opinions and so inflammatory in his language that he was thrown
out of church, stoned, hunted from place to place, and finally gibbeted as a firebrand and a public danger. Whatever his peace
was, it was not the peace of amiable indifference.” (Dorothy Sayers)

CCC NEWS & NOTES
Welcome Back Tonight for our traditional candlelight carol service at 7:00pm. Great Christmas music and drama help us focus on the reason for the season. Watch Night Service Next Sunday 11:00pm We worship God, reflecting on his past goodness to us and trusting him for the year to come. As we’ve been doing for over a hundred years, we’ll come to the Lord’s Table at midnight.
Christmas Building Hours The building will be closed (except for Sunday morning and evening worship) Saturday December 23 through Monday January 1. Thank You To those who helped with A Night In Bethlehem praying setting up, decorating, cleaning up, shopping, serving the day off, etc.- thank you for investing in the CCC children and those in our community. I'm humbled and grateful. You're a wonderful example of God's goodness and servant-hood. ~Terri Allen Those who loaned items used for this event, you will find them on the stage in the gym. Undecorate Join us as we take down and pack up Christmas decorations Tuesday, January 2, 9:00am. Everyone’s welcome to help – the more who come the quicker we’ll get the job done. WORLD MISSIONS AT CCC
Why I’m Glad CCC Will Read & Preach Through the Bible in 2018 Ken Langley
Focusing on “The Whole Book for the Whole Church” reminds us of who we are and why we gather every Lord’s Day. We come together as citizens of the Kingdom of God to hear about the country we have not yet seen. We come as children of the King to the dinner table to be fed. We come as sheep, led by our Shepherd to the green pastures of his Word. We have other reasons for gathering, but the Word of God is the most important.
