Monday 27th March
Kite Flying on the Oval
This morning on this windy Melbourne day, we took the opportunity to fly a kite high up into the sky!
Henry: It was fun because everyone gets a turn. It (the kite) was blue, black, orange, purple, and pink.
Eleanor: I liked holding it (the kite) with my hand. It flew off.
Jade: It was fun; the kite went really high. It was a fish flying.
Zac: I liked having fun with it (the kite). It went on the fence.

A Real Easter Bunny!
Today Tyler brought in his real bunny from home. We put
him inside our circle and he hopped around. We even
played with him outside in the sun.
Jared: It’s a bunny!
Tyler: He is Olaf and he is 5. He eats carrots and cucumber.
Rosa: It is so cute and fluffy; I wish I had a bunny!
Ollie: Yeah, I love it!
Alia: Why does he have a cage?
Tyler: Because he would run away.

the eggs on my pillow and then I sit on my bed and eat them!
Zac I’m going into the city with my family at Easter. I’m going to see an Easter Bunny and
then the Easter Bunny is going to give me some chocolate ones and they will be so
yummy.
Frankie My Mummy is going to give me chocolate and the Easter Bunny brings chocolate too!
He leaves it on my couch while I sleep in my bed and then I wake up!
Liam We made Hot Cross Buns. We used sultanas and butter.

“The gymnast did a cartwheel and a backflip. She could
do that because she has such a strong body. She is fit
and very talented.” Rosa
Today the children in the ELC were invited to watch a gymnastics display. We were all very
excited to walk down to the hall and watch as Amy the gymnast presented her skills in front
of all the children. Amy showed us her beam routine, her floor routine and some work on the
bar. Amy was very strong and we all watched on in disbelief how clever she was with using
her body.
I liked her doing the bar. She did a handstand and it looked really hard.– Mia
The bars are my favourite things in gymnastics. She needs to train lots and then gets really
good at it.—Ollie
She did jumps and rolling. She is very strong.—Liam Thursday 30 March 2017
