2019 Term Dates

Term 2 Ends Friday 5 July Term 3 Starts Monday 22 July Ends Friday 27 September Term 4 Starts Monday 14 October Ends Wednesday 18 December School Trips Next Term Unfortunately the Junior and Middle school have had to cancel their trips to the Tip Top Factory this term. We have managed to secure an exciting trip to the Te Tuhi Art Gallery and Pakuranga Library at the beginning of Term 3 and this will be split over weeks 1-4. Watch this space... Jennie Edwards Keeping our Children Safe Thank you all parents for your sensible driving around our school, and the care you are taking to ensure our children are safe. It’s great to see people using the pedestrian crossing at the front of the school where the road patrol operates. Thank you. As you know, we are a “Travelwise School”. We place much emphasis upon our students travelling to and from school safely. The streets around our school are very busy at certain times, and there are four exits. If you see any matters of concern-for example children crossing the road unsafely-please don’t hesitate to contact the school office and let us know so we can follow up on this. Friendly Reminders No car parking on any yellow lines. If you are among the early arrivals to pick up your children after school, it would be appreciated if you

could position your car on the street in a way that leaves room for others to park. Please don’t block driveways - let’s remember our neighbours! Thanks for your help with this everyone. There is no parking in the lower staff car park. This is a drive through drop off zone only in the mornings,

and cannot be accessed before 3.15pm after school. Have a great week everyone! Kind regards, Mr T [email protected]

Notice from the NZ Police The NZ Police recently launched a new non emergency number, 105. We’ve done this to make it easier to get hold of us in the event of non-urgent situations or ‘Things which have Already Happened’, which don’t require Police assistance immediately. You can call us on 105 for all non-emergencies, or you can go online at 105.police.govt.nz to report things like:

- Lost property - Theft from a public place or car - Intentional property damage - Or to get an update or add info to a previous report In the event of an emergency, always call 111 - Things that are Happening Now
