Our history…Chocolaterie MONBANA’s history started in 1934 with the manufacture of cocoa butter and powder. 1978: MONBANA created its first chocolate squares.

The depth and richness of MONBANA’s chocolate range spurred it to create a new chocolate boutique concept.This led to MONBANA’s first boutique opening in Laval (Mayenne region, France) in 2009. Very quickly, this boutique concept became a great hit with the public.MONBANA rapidly opened other new boutiques, mainly in the north-west region of France and with a preference for locations on the outskirts of town, in commercial zones.By the end of 2012, MONBANA had 17 boutiques dedicated to chocolate. Our aim is to enlarge this network with another 50 points of sale by 2015. 

In France, the Gourmet MONBANA range can be found in nearly 1,200 points of sale and in all chain delicatessens. In Paris, MONBANA can be found in the top department stores:

All our chocolates are made from a selection of the very best varieties of cocoa, specially selected by MONBANA from Ivory Coast and South America, in particular. All our recipes are made in France, in Mayenne (53), at our two production sites (Ernée and Landivy).MONBANA guarantees quality products: 100% pure cocoa butter chocolate and carefully selected ingredients (Isigny Caramel, Californian almonds, etc.).This excellence and the intense flavours of its chocolates have meant that MONBANA has established itself as the benchmark in the market for coffee accompaniment products and as the expert in chocolate drinks.MONBANA pursues an ongoing quest for improvement, and received IFS-BRC certification in 2010, together with numerous awards for the organoleptic quality of its products with the “Saveurs de l’année” prize in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, and the Fèves d’Or in 2011 and 2012.
