MONASH GAOKAOENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR 2021 INTAKE The Gaokao is accepted into most Monash University and all Monash College Part 2 courses where students need to satisfy the minimum age requirements, Gaokao entry score, English language level (with submission of a Monash approved English proficiency test, refer to page 7), Gaokao prerequisites, and selection/extra requirements as detailed in the table below. The comprehensive subject completed during the Gao Kao science stream can also be accepted as meeting the Gao Kao Physics or Gao Kao Chemistry prerequisite specified in the table below.

HOW TO CALCULATE THE GAOKAO ENTRY SCORE:All students must provide their official final National College Entrance Examination result (Gaokao) issued by the relevant Chinese provincial examination authority in order for either Monash University or Monash College to establish if you satisfy the Gaokao entry scores.

Monash converts the Gaokao entry score using the following calculation:Your total score achieved in the Gaokao will be converted into a 100% scale by dividing your total

scores achieved with the 2020 Gaokao maximum score* published by the Department of Education in China for each Chinese province. For example: if you achieved a total score of 555 in your Gaokao and the 2020 Gaokao maximum score for Guangdong is 750, then the percentage score on a 100% scale converted by either Monash University or Monash College will be 74%.
