Raid technologies,

Fabrics,

Array management,

And critical applications overview

In the TDC environment TIER-1, TIER-2and TIEr-3 storage arrays are there.DMX ,VMAX arrays are comes und

TIER-1 with SRDF to mirror storage to different sites. the mirror copy size is 56 TB.In TIER-2 also performance

with no mirror by SRDF,For TIER-3 storage Only connected with Clarriion and vnx arrays

According to RAID levels TIER-1AND TIER-2 builds on raid5(3+1),TIER-3 builds on Raid 6(16+2)

IN the fabric manager the fibre channel connectivity with 2,4,8gb FC_AL

What are the directors connected to the fabric those all are cisco

And switches from brocade and mcdata

There are 4 fabrics named as fabric A and B,fabric C and D.The fabric A and B connected with TGL ,fabric C and D are

connected with SLT, VSAN 100 and 200 fabric are connected with RTV.

Tool management in tdc environment is cisco fabric manager for cisco switch connectivity ,connetrix for brocade and

mcdata.total are 8 switches 80% of servers on mcdata

For array management emc control center for tier 1 and 2 stoarge

Navisphere is being used for tier 3 storage provisionin

Unisphere is being used for vnx storage provisioning

UNISphere manager :it is used for vnx arrays

navisphere manager for alla clariion arrays,the navisphere password policyies are setting by tdc.

For capacity management process and its documentation details are collect from STORAGE SCOPE TOOL

in connectrix scheduler will take care of the switch backups

control center information is provided by TDC

service center : , Service center will provide the information about all operating systems. In the service center Inventor

manager contains the SERVER LOCATION, SERVER OPERATING SYSTEM, SERVER SUPPORTING SOFTWARE, and applica

TDc environment critical applications are NABS and R12,NABS runs on solaris ,R12 runs on Linux.Focus usage,focus cu

,tiger are the servers in NABS environment .Focus usage and focus cust having the clone copies i.e Focus aux and focu

Tiger server got remote copy on SLt2100

R12 is Called POEBS remote copy on 2100 storage,local clone taken from r2 at 2100 array RTV updates data on ROEBS

Then only it will get refres

Data copy between 2100 clone copy and 2154 ROEBS through rSYNC
