The FactsMohawk schools has not passed new

operating money since 1995.

Money received from the State has dropped from 63% to 54% since 1995.

Revenue from business taxes have decreased by 37% since 1995 and will eventually be eliminated.

A 1% income tax was approved in 1995.

In 1996, 4.04 mills of property tax was eliminated.

In 1997, 5.9 mills of property tax was eliminated.

Bottom line: Mohawk has budgeted wisely for the past twelve years.
