A range of possible dissertation formats is possible, with the aimof the module being to aid the development of research and professional skills, and identify the research process withprofessional life beyond academia. The masters dissertation proposal form will remain the standard for assessing the qualityof proposals.

Lectures (80 hours): Lectures and other types of teaching sessions will be typically delivered online through recordings,discussion, learning activities, and readings. All of the lectures and activities will be framed through an online study guide. Thetime allotted to Lectures’ covers the time it would take to work through the study guide sessions, activities and discussions. Seminars (4 hours): This module builds in time for students to prepare for and engage in two online seminars. These are livesessions delivered online. While the content is core, there is flexibility in how these seminars are delivered to accommodatefor diverse student circumstances and time zones. Alternative material (transcripts, recorded session, reading and activities)will be available to all students, so those who are unable to attend can still access these seminars in an asynchronous way.
