on that Day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! didn’t we prophesy in your name? didn’t we expel demons in your name? didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?

then I will tell them to their faces, ‘I never knew you! get away from me, you workers of lawlessness’

narrow road leading to life

beware of false prophets! they come to you wearing sheep’s clothing but underneath they are hungry wolves! you will recognise them by their fruit

every healthy tree produces good fruit, but a poor tree produces bad fruit…

not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven…

so everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be a sensible man who build his house on bedrock…

fruit of the Spirit

sexual immorality, impurity, indecency… selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue and envy… drunkenness, orgies…

I warn you: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God

but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace, patience, kindness and goodness, faithfulness, humility, self-control

nothing in Torah stands against such things

promote love from a clean heart, from a good conscience and from sincere trust

some by aiming amiss, have wandered off into fruitless discussions;

they want to be teachers of Torah, but they understand neither their own words nor the matters about which they make such emphatic pronouncements

false doctrine a sin

sin, link to demonic forcesthe Spirit clearly says that in later times

some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons

— 1 Timothy 4:1-2; Revelation 2.14-16, 20-24 sign of deeper sin, requiring repentance

avoid stupid controversies…about God’s teaching because they are worthless;

warn a divisive person once, then a second time and after that have nothing to do with them;

you may be sure that such a person has been perverted and is sinning

flee from those who indulge

if anyone teaches differently and does not agree to the sound precepts of our Lord Jesus the Messiah and to the doctrine that is in keeping with godliness, he is swollen with conceit and understands nothing

instead, he has a morbid desire for controversies and word-battles, out of which come jealousy, dissension, insults, evil suspicions and constant wrangling among people whose minds no longer function properly and who have been deprived of the truth, so that they imagine that religion is a road to riches…

you, as a man of God, flee from these things…— 1 Tim. 6:3-5, 11


a sign of the time

for the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say what their ears itch to hear

yes, they will stop listening to the truth but will turn aside to follow myths

— 2 Timothy 4:3-4the Spirit clearly says that in later

times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons

— 1 Timothy 4:1-2


internal revelation of truth

spiritual truth perceived through internal, spiritual unveiling of historical truth

I did not receive (the Good News) from someone else nor was I taught it — it came through a direct revelation from Jesus the Messiah

— Galatians 1.12; Matthew 16.17I keep asking the God of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, the glorious Father, to give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of him

spiritual words, spiritual truths

a manner of speaking taught by the Spirit, by which we explain things of the Spirit to people who have the Spirit…

the natural man does not receive the things from the Spirit of God – to him they are nonsense!

moreover, he is unable to grasp them, because they are evaluated through the Spirit

Holy Spirit reveals truth

Holy Spirit has been specifically sent to guide us into all truth, to reveal truth to us

when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears he will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

truth brings conflict…

between family membersit is not peace I have come to bring, but a sword! for I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother…a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household

holding to a form of godliness, but resisting the truth

loving pleasure rather than God…they retain the outer form of religion, but deny its power

love of truth divides

a separation between those who love the truth and turn to it

pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart

— 2 Timothy 2:22 …and those who resist, suppress,

oppose the truthunrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth
