OverviewOverview

• Modern electronics continue to be placed in denser packaging and smaller enclosures, often causing overheating problems

• Moisture and airborne dust, oil, dirt, and other contaminants can damage sensitive electronic equipment.

Noren Products Incorporated Compact Cabinet Cooler Air-to-Air and Air-to-Water Heat Exchangers solve these problems by removing waste heat, cooling and re-circulating the clean air inside the cabinet. At the same time, it maintains the enclosure’s protective seal against contaminants. It comes in many different integrities including NEMA 12, 4, and 4X.

Noren offers:• Air-to-Air – Ambient Cooling to slightly above ambient temperature if sized properly

o Drop in Modelo Flush Mount modelo Internal Mount Model

• Air-to-Water – Below Ambient Cooling to slightly above water temperatureo No Exposed Fanso 1 GPM water source

Choose the best unit for your application by using our online sizing program

For metal cabinet: C= 36P/∆T-9AP = heat load (watts)A = surface area of cabinet (ft2)ΔT = allowable rise in temperature above ambient (°F)C = Cabinet Cooler rating (found in table)Look in table to find the Cabinet Cooler with at least capacity (C).

Example: Change information to reflect version from alternate presentationWe want to cool a NEMA 12, 72” x 36” x 24” (183 x 92 x 61cm) uninsulated, floor mounted, sheet metal enclosure. We measured outside the cabinet was 90°F /32°C. Then, we calculated heat load (P) to be 600 watts. In this application, allowable temperature rise above ambient (∆T’) is 10°F, mean desired inside temperature is 108°F/42°C. Using C=36P/ ∆T’-9A, we find C=1566 watts. Therefore, we choose the CC2500F to meet the requirement. This cooler operates at current 1.2A @ 115VAC, mean total consumption 138 W.

• Drop InDrop in models extend into the panel from the side, top, front or back. These units have approximately ½ of the unique Noren heat pipe core extended into the cabinet and sealed at the mid flange. There is no air exchange between inside and outside. The fan attached to heat pipe core inside draws the heat over the core and moves the heat to the other end located on the outside. The fan attached to the outside portion of the core dissipates the heat into the ambient air. This removes the heat without allowing air or and contaminant inside.

Features:•Waste heat removal from 500 – 7,500 BTU´s/hr -•Energy Efficient•Low Maintenance•Light Weight•Easy to install•Filters available if needed•Fans - Low dBA •UL Listed Type 12, NEMA 4•Custom units available

• Flush Mount ModelFlush Mount models remove waste heat from sealed electrical panels and enclosures using Noren heat pipe technology. The unit can installed on the side, top, front or back of the panel and does not take up space inside the enclosure. Approximately 1/2 of the unique heat pipe core is exposed to the inside of the cabinet and the other portion to the outside; totally sealed to maintain the proper NEMA integrity. These units are ideal for enclosures with little to no room for additional components and in a harsh environment.

Features:•Low Profile & High Power from 1,100 – 13,700 BTU´s/hr -•Energy Efficient•Low Maintenance•Light Weight•Easy to install•Filters available if needed•Standard SS304 or special ordered SS316•Fans - Low dBA •UL Listed Type 12, 3R, 4, 4X, and HAZLOC•Custom units available

• Drop In ModelsFunction of drop in :• Cool electronics down to slightly above outside ambient air temperature• UL Certified to maintain NEMA 12 seal• Efficient Heat Pipe Core moves the waste heat• Air is circulated inside cabinet to keep hot spots from forming• Maintenance free cooling. Only moving part is the fan.• Flange and Isoloss gasket keep contaminants out (properly torched on installation)• Easy to install on top, door, sides, or back of cabinet

oOne person can usually install a standard application in less than an hour than one hour

• Causes no condensation like air conditioners• Corrosion resistant. Anodized aluminum housing (standard), Additional salt water and chemical protection available (please inquire)

• Haz Loc models available• Filters available• Low power draw, 32 watts per fan results in low operating costs and no new electrical line required• AC Fans = 115v 50/60 Hz or 220v 50/60 Hz fans, DC fans also available• Fans -- allowable ambient temperature. -40°F to 160°F
