Disconnect machine and allow to cool before servlclng.
WARNING:
This machine is equipped with an automatic temperature limitcontrol designed to turn off the machine if it overheats. Inthat event, do not reset until a qualified serVlcerepresentative has inspected and repaired the unit. Under nocircumstances should the temperature limit control bebypassed or an alternate control used, as a fire risk couldresult.
This machine must be electrically grounded to avoid possibleelectrical shock. If an adaptive plug must be used, anelectrical ground must be provided.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
As necessary, the area between the cone sIides and abovebrew cone should be wiped clean with a damp cloth as coffeeoils will gradually collect on the surface directly abovebrew cone.
The brew cone should be rinsed with water after each brewand, occasionally, washed by hand with a mild detergent.Rinse well after washing.
Spray head should be cleaned regularly to prevent blockage.Use cleanout spring regularly to keep fittings and tubesclear.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE CLEANSING POWDERS, HARSH DETERGENTS, CHEMICALS ORANY OF THE "SUPER" CLEANERS. SOME OF THESE CLEANERS ARECAPABLE OF DAMAGING THIS PRODUCT.
READ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY FOR PROPER CLEANINGPROCEDURES.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDEBUILT-IN COFFEE APPLIANCE
UNPLUG AND ALLOW TO COOL BEFORE SERVICING UNLESS ELECTRICAL TESTING ISREQUIRED.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD THE HI-LIMIT THERMOSTAT BE BY-PASSED. INTHE EVENT OF FAILURE THE HI-LIMIT THERMOSTAT SHOULD BE REPLACED. USEONLY ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT PARTS.
INSPECT WIRING CAREFULLY FOR DAMAGE. DAMAGED WIRING MAY CAUSEMALFUNCTIONS AND PREMATURE COMPONENT FAILURE. REPLACE ANY WIRES THATHAVE LOOSE CONNECTIONS, DAMAGED INSULATION OR SHOW EVIDENCE OF OVERHEATING. WHEN REPLACING WIRES OR TERMINALS USE ONLY LIKE RATEDTERMINALS AND WIRES OF THE SAME GAUGE AND INSULATION COVERING.
CHASSIS MUST BE GROUNDED TO PREVENT POSSIBLE ELECTRIC SHOCK.
BE CERTAIN POWER SUPPLY IS OF THE CORRECT RATING AND POLARITY BEFORECONNECTING POWER SUPPLY CORD. FAILURE TO HEED THIS WARNING MAY DAMAGETHIS UNIT AND MAY CAUSE INJURY.
BEFORE CONNECTING TO POWER SUPPLY READ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONSCAREFULLY. THERMOSTAT MAY BE DAMAGED IF THE TANK IS NOT FILLED WITHWATER BEFORE THE POWER SWITCH IS TURNED ON.
1. EQUIPMENT WILL NOT OPERATE:
A. Is power cord connected to proper, working power supply?B. Has power-fill switch been turned on?C. Check main circuit breaker in building.D. Test hi-limit thermostat. Replace if necessary.E. Test power cord. Replace if necessary.F. Test power-f~ll switch. Replace if necessary.G. Inspect for correct wiring or loose or damaged Wlres or
terminals.H. Test Timer. Replace if neoessary.I. Have installation instructions been followed completely.
2. UNIT WILL NOT HEAT. ON LIGHT IS ON:
A. Test thermostat. Replace if necessary.B. Test tank heating element. Replace if necessary.C. Inspect for correct wiring or loose or damaged Wlres or
terminals.

4. BREW CYCLE WILL NOT START. UNIT HEATS:
A. Test power-fill switch. Replace if necessary.B. Test solenoid valve. Replace if necessary.C. Test optional in-line water filter, check valve or shut off
valve for blockage.D. Inspect, clean or replace flow control washer and flow
control screen.E. Inspect for correct, ·loose or damaged wires or terminals.F. Test thermostat. Replace if necessary.
5. WATER FLOW STARTS AND STOPS DURING BREW CYCLE:
A. Test solenoid valve. Replace if necessary.B. Test relay. Replace if necessary.C. Test power-fill switch. Replace if necessary.
6. BREW CYCLE CONTINUES AFTER KNOB HAS REACHED OFF:
A. Test timer. Replace if necessary.B. Test solenoid valve. Replace if necessary.C. Test for correct water pressure. Water pressure should be
between 30 and 80 p.s.i.
7. WATER IS TOO HOT OR TOO COLD:
A. Adjust or replace thermostat. (To increase temperature turnadjustment shaft in a counter-clockwise direction. Todecrease temperature turn adjustment shaft clockwise. Turnadjustment shaft 1/8 turn maximum per adjustment. Retest andadjust again if necessary. Recommended temperature isbetween 187° and 194°. Test below brew cone with wateronly.) If correct temperature cannot be reached replacethermostat.
B. Test for correct water pressure. Water pressure should bebetween 30 and 80 p.s.i.
C. Flow washer should be .06 GPM.

A. Inspect, clean or replace flow control washer and flowcontrol screen.
B. Test for correct water pressure. Water pressure should bebetween 30 and 80 p.s.i.

A. Inspect and clean spray head and silicone tubing.B. Test water supply for inconsistent. water pressure.C. Test timer. Replace if necessary.D. Inspect, clean or replace flow control washer and flow
control screen.E. Test solenoid valve for leakage. Replace if necessary.F. Inspect tank for leakage. Replace if necessary.G. Test optional in-line water filter, check valve or shut off
valve for blockage. Replace if necessary.
11. HI-LIMIT THERMOSTAT KEEPS ACTIVATING:
A. Test hi-limit thermostat. Replace if necessary.B. Check brewing temperature. Adjust if necessary. (see item
#7A)C. Test thermostat. Replace if necessary.D~ Is hi-limit thermostat too tight against tank? Hi-limit
should be snug only.E. Inspect hi-limit thermostat for correct, loose or damaged
wires or terminals.
WARNINGUNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD THE HI-LIMIT THERMOSTAT BE BY-PASSED. INTHE EVENT OF FAILURE THE HI-LIMIT THERMOSTAT SHOULD BE REPLACED. USEONLY ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT PARTS.
12. DRIPPING FROM SPRAY HEAD WHEN KNOB IS OFF:
A. Inspect and clean spray head, silicone tubing and fittings.B. Test solenoid valve for leakage.C. Test water supply for correct water pressure. Water pressure
should be between 30 & 85 PSI.'
13. BREWER WILL NOT SHUT OFF OR BREWER STARTS BY ITSELF:
A. Test power-fill switch. Replace if necessary.B. Test timer. Replace if necessary.C. Test solenoid valve for leakage.D. Inspect for correct, loose or damaged wires or terminals.E. Test water supply for correct water pressure. Water pressure
should be between 30 & 85 PSI.
14. WATER LEAKING FROM BOTTOM OF UNIT:
A. Inspect and clean spray head and silicone tubing.B. Inspect tank, silicone tubing and fittings for leakage.

15. SOLENOID VALVE CHATTERING OR HOWLING:
A. Brewer should be connected to cold-water line only.B. Copper tubing should not touch coffee brewer, counter top or
wall.C. Water pressure should not exceed 85 PSI.D. Water hammer. Contact plumber to correct this problem.
16. TRIPS BUILDING CIRCUIT BREAKER:
A. Too many appliances on one circuit.B. Circuits amperage rating too low. Contact an electrician to
correct this·problem.C. Test and inspect wiring for shorting.
17. COMPONENTS FAILING REGULARLY:
A. Inspect for correct, loose or damaged wires or terminals.B. Test wall receptacle for correct voltage and polarity.
18. POOR TASTING COFFEE:
A. Inspect and clean brew cone, area above brew cone and sprayhead.
B. Incorrect filter paper being used. Try another brand offilter.
C. Change amount or brand of coffee being used.D. Test brewing temperature. Adjust if necessary. (See\#7A)E. Spray head must be in place for proper coffee extraction.
19. WATER OVERFLOWS FILTER PAPER. GROUNDS IN COFFEE:
A. To much coffee being used. Use less coffee.B. Incorrect filter paper being used. Try another brand of
filter.C. Two filters used. Use one filter per brew cycle.D. Fine grind coffee may cause overflows. Use less coffee.E. Inspect brew cone for damage.
20. WARMER WILL NOT HEAT:
A. Is warmer plugged in?B. Test warmer switch. Replace if necessary.C. Test warmer element. Replace if necessary.D. Inspect for correct, loose or damaged wires or terminals.
