Safety
1. Personal Protective Equipment- P..P.E.
A. The proper personal protective equipment should be worn at all time.
B. Always wear safety glasses when in the work area
C. Proper footwear should be worn during the installation process, as well as any mainte-nance functions.
D. It is recommended to wear protective gloves during the installation process, as well as any maintenance functions. It is recommended to wear them also when removing any covers.
E. The operator should never wear jewelry.
F. Loose fitting clothes should not be worn around moving parts on conveyors or equip-ment. Any clothing that becomes loosened should be tucked in tightly
G. Loose or dangling shoe strings should be tucked in.
H. Long hair should be tied up and/or back.

1. Saving 4 - M8 X 25 bolts and 4 - M8 serrated flange nuts, remove exist-ing hopper parts from the conveyor until it looks as shown in figure 1. 2. Reusing the hardware from step 1, put 4 - M8 X 25 bolts and 4 - M8 serrat-ed nuts in the four holes shown in figures 1 & 3. Tighten to 25 N-m.(225 in-lb)

3. Caulk transition with combine sealant as shown in figures 2-4.

4. While combine sealant is still wet slide the 80068-00-JDG transition onto the conveyor as shown in fig-ure 5.

5. As shown in figure 6 attach the 80058-00-JDG hose clamp bracket to the drive side of the convey-or unit using 1- M8 X 30 hex head bolt and the weld nut inside the tran-sition. Use 1 M8 X 30 hex head bolt and 1 M8 serrated flange nut in the remaining hole on this side of the transition. Leave bolts slightly loose.
6. As shown in figure 7, use 2 - M8 X 30 flange bolts, 1 - M8 serrated flange nut, and the weld nut inside the transition to attach the other side of the transition to the con-veyor body. Leave bolts slightly loose.

7. Insert 2 - stainless steel M8 X 30 round head bolts in the upper holes at the rear of the transition. Secure with 2-M8 serrated flange nuts. See figure 8 & 9.

8. Insert 4 - M8 X 30 flange bolts in four holes along each side of transi-tion and secure with 4 - M8 serrated flange nuts. See figure 10-12.

9. On each side of the conveyor, insert 1 M8 X 30 flange bolt in the lower hole at the rear of the transition as shown in Figures 13 & 14. Use 2 - M8 serrat-ed flange nuts to se-cure.

10. Go back to step 5 and tighten all bolts and nuts to 25 N-m(225 in-lb). Do this for all bolts used through this point.

11. Slide 24159-07 spring, 24160-07 spring, and 80022-00-JDG Pivot Pins onto the tail transition. Note orienta-tion of the springs as shown in figures 15 & 16. Do not insert pins past the ends of the transition tubes, so the tail can be slid into transi-tion.

12. Slide 80000-04 tail onto the 80068-00-JDG transition, making sure the spring arms go into the spring tubes. See figures 17 & 18 NOTE: Use two techni-cians to install horizontally or use forklift with strap to install vertically.

13. While supporting tail with two technicians or a forklift and strap, slide 80022-00-JDG pins in to secure the tail onto the transition as in figures 19 & 20.

15. Tighten nuts to 201 N-m(148 ft-lb). See figure 22.

14. Rotate tail and pin on transition until spring loop, hole in transition tube, and hole in pin line up. Put 80077-01-JDG bushing and M14 X 90 bolt in pin hole while holding up the tail as in figure 21. Put M14 lock nut on bolt. Repeat for the other spring.

16. Pull the tail down & ad-just the height of 80083-00-JDG latch catch so that the tail is held snuggly down. See figure 23.

17. After adjusting the latch catch, tighten bolts to 10 N-m(92 in-lb). See figure 24.

20. Line up the tubes in the guard with the tube on the transition, and insert 80006-03 pin through tubes as shown in figure 29.

19. Slide 80076-00-JDG flip guard down onto tail by putting the 80070-01 track followers on the rails as shown in figure 28.

22. Place 80066-00-JDG transport cradle on throat of conveyor with the latch towards the head of the conveyor, and line up holes with slots. See figure 31.
21. Insert cotter pins in ends of pin as shown in figure 30. Bend ends of cotter pins to secure.

23. Put 4- M10 X 25 bolts, 2 on each side through the hole and slots. Use 4 - M10 serrated flange nuts. See figures 32 & 33.

24. Flip up tail and position transport cradle so that there is 1/2 inch of space between cradle and hook as shown in figure 34. Tighten all four bolts on transport cradle to 50 N-m(37 ft-lb). Return tail to down position.
25. Attach 80052-01 straight fitting to top and bottom port on hydraulic motor. Attach 80053-01 90 deg elbow to end port of hydrau-lic motor. See figure 35. 26. Attach hose 24381-83 to the top 80052-01 straight fitting. Attach hose 24381-84 to the bottom 80052-01 straight fitting. Attach hose 24381-82 to the 80053-01 90 deg elbow fitting. See figure 35. ***See next page for in-structions on case drain hose.

27. Route hose 24381-84 through the inside of the first clamp. Route hose 24381-83 through the mid-dle of the first clamp. Route hose 24381-82 through the outside of the first clamp. Leave 38 inch-es of hose between motor and first clamp as in figure 36. Use 2 - M8 X 65 car-riage bolts, 2 - M8 Flange nuts, 1 - 24512-05 Hose Clamp, 1 - 80059-01-JDG Hose clamp Bracket Top and 2 - 80080-01-JDG Bushings to attach hoses. Tighten bolts to 25 N-m(225 in-lb).

28. Route hose 24383-84 through the bottom of the hose clamp on the transport cradle. Route hose 24383-83 through the middle of the hose clamp on the transport cradle. Route hose 24383-82 through the top of the hose clamp on the transport cradle. See figure 37. Use 2 - M8 X 65 carriage bolts, 2 - M8 Flange nuts, 1 - 24512-05 Hose Clamp, 1 - 80059-01-JDG Hose clamp Bracket Top and 2 - 80080-01-JDG Bushings to attach hoses. Tighten bolts to 25 N-m(225 in-lb).

30. Install 24377-26 bulkhead union in the top hole of the 80074-01-JDG hose bracket. Install 24377-27 bulkhead union run tee in the bottom hole of the 80074-01-JDG hose bracket. Attach union swivel on the tee as shown in figure 39.

29.Attach hose 24381-84 (5/8 X 174”) to the right side of hose brackets. Attach hose 24381-83 (5/8” X 158”) to the middle of hose brackets. Attach 24381-82 (3/8” X 162”) to the left side of hose brackets. See Figure 38. Use 2 - M8 X 65 carriage bolts, 2 - M8 Flange nuts, 1 - 24512-05 Hose Clamp, 1 - 80059-01-JDG Hose clamp Bracket Top and 2 - 80080-01-JDG Bushings to attach hoses. Leave hoses out of 4th (top) hose bracket. Tight-en bolts to 25 N-m (225 in-lb).

32. Attach hose 24381-83 to the 24377-26 bulk-head union. Attach hose 24381-82 to 24377-27 bulkhead union run tee as shown in figure 41.

31. Install 80074-01-JDG hose bracket on the con-veyor unit using existing hardware as shown in figure 40. Tighten to 25 N-m(225 in-lb).

33. Attach the 90 degree elbows 80094-01 to the bot-tom of the control valve. Then attach hose 24381-84 to the 90 degree elbows on control valve as shown in Figure 42.
34. Connect hoses from pivot arm to the fittings from step 30. 35. Place the Operators Manual in the Tool Box of the Air cart.

Bold Torque Specifications
Bolt torque specifications Proper torquing of bolts, cap screws, studs, and nuts is very important when assembling or installing any compo-nent on a machine. The chart below lists bolt torques for most popular sizes of bolts. The chart also applies to tightening studs or tightening nuts. Refer to the chart whenever a bolt must be tightened on a machine. Two columns of figures are shown for each type of bolt, dry and lubricated. The “dry” column would cover bolts as the come from the package or bolts with no external lubrication applied. The second column covers bolts exter-nally lubricated with oil, white lead, anti-seize, graphite, etc. This column should also be used to tighten bolts that are being loctite applied.
