Welcome to

The proliferation of mobile devices and the growth in

mobile capabilities make mobile enablement a high

priority application for today's enterprises.

Mobile devices with solutions and applications improve

customer experience, simplify interactions, make

processes quicker and more convenient, and empower usto make better decisions faster thereby improving

productivity. The Mobility Space seeks constant creativity

and innovation to be able to keep up with the ever

increasing consumer expectations.

This Contest challenges young and bright developers to

showcase their talent and creativity by developing thenext generation Mobile App. 

Eligibility The contest is open to pre-final

year engineering students (Year of 

Passing- 2013) from TCS

Accredited institutes.

We invite nominations from

UG/PG engineering students

specializing in any of the following

streams - CS/IT/EEE/ECE/MCA.

In the final round, the Top 10

teams get a chance to visit a TCS

office and present their application

to the TCS Evaluation panel.

ApplicationDemonstration and

Presentation

Participation Guidelines

  Each Institute can nominate a maximum of  3teams. Each team is required to have 3 members.

  Interested students are required to submit theirnomination to the Training and Placement Officerof the respective institute. The TPO can nominatea maximum of 3 teams representing the Institutein the template shared by TCS.

  Only students with Year of Passing as 2013 areeligible to participate. The minimum age forparticipation in the contest is 18 years. 

  The last date for TPOs to submit the nominationsto the TCS representative is 15

thMarch 2012. 

  Each team should have a team name and identify ateam leader. The team leaders will be our point of contact for all communication with respect to thecontest. They will also be responsible to updatetheir team members on any communication fromTCS with respect to the contest.

  The nominations received from institutes will be

validated against the Contest Eligibility Criteria.TCS would send an email to the team leaderconfirming the participation.

  It is mandatory for all participants/team membersto have registered on the TCS NextStep portal andhave a valid CT Reference Number.

Contest Structure

The contest comprises of the

following three rounds:

Round 2

Idea Submission

The Idea Submission round requires the

teams to conceptualize a consumer

mobile application which addresses one

or more needs of an end consumer. The

teams need to submit an executive

summary of their mobile application in

not more than 1000 words in a power

point or PDF format.

The application should cater to any

one of the following fields or may be

inter-disciplinary.

Entertainment | Education |

Business| Finance | Media | Social |

Health & Lifestyle | Sports

  The team members can be from the samediscipline or may be inter-disciplinary.

  Team members have to remain constantthroughout the contest. Movement within teamsis not allowed and will lead to disqualificationfrom the contest.

  Each participant must agree to the Terms andConditions before participating in the Contest.

  All costs for participation in the contest will have

to be borne by the team/institute only.

  The infrastructure required for the developmentof the mobile application shall be borne by theteam or the institution they represent. TCS willnot be liable for any damage to the institute’sinfrastructure that may be caused byparticipants from the institute during thecontest.

  The teams shall select any one of the platforms-iOS, Android, Windows Phone for developing themobile application.

  Entries submitted after the round/contest enddate will not be considered for evaluation.

An Online Quiz would be

launched on Campus

Commune and all

participating teams would

be required to take up the

quiz concurrently.
