    Skill Summary:

Well acquainted with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Good knowledge at in all areas of Testing LifeCycle

Involved in Database Testing. Involved in creating Test Plan.

Designed and written test cases based on functional/Business requirementspecficitations, executed test cases and reporting/prioritizing of software bugs.

Attended training on tools like Manual Testing,WinRunner,QTP.Load Runner

    Good at preparing Test Estimation.

    Education Details:

    Experience:

Working as Software Engineer, Bangalore from March2009 to till date

    PROJECT DETAILS:

    PROJECT#1:Wireless Rip wave system

Wireless Rip wave system basically works on OFDM technology, consist of three majorcomponent EMS (Element management system), Base station, CPE (Consumer Prominence

Equipment). The Rip wave EMS is a Java based element manager that seamlessly plugs into an

intranet or the Internet. This scalable management system for up to 1,000 base stationsprovides comprehensive element, subscriber, bandwidth and service management. Because of

its distributed architecture, Objectivity/DB can meet network and service managementrequirements as networks continue to scale dramatically, delivering future-proof solutions to

service providers using the Rip wave EMS. Objectivity/DB captures and stores network datawhere it is generated. This eliminates the need to continually access network databases and

carry network specific information to central locations, allowing for near limitless scalability

while increasing speed and efficiency.Platform/OS : Linux, Solaris, Windows

    Role : Test Engineer

    Description

Writing Test Cases and execute them manually Testing the EMS Diagnostics tool and other applications on multi OS environments.

Writing scripts on Perl to execute CLI based Test cases. Training the team in test cases & execution of test cases

Preparing, maintaining & modifying the Test Bed for various regressions, stress, load, black Box & functionality test.

Testing L1, L2, L3 protocols Assist Development engineers in Defect diagnosis.

Configuring, maintaining & trouble shooting the EMS. The product installation testing, Stress testing, load testing, Performance Testing.

Testing customer based MRs (Modification Request). Writing Perl/Unix shell script for regression testing

PROJECT#2: LG-400 Series Mobile handset testing

    Team Size : 5

Role : Test EngineerProtocols : SIP, GSM (RR&CC), Call Processing

    Tools : Ethereal, MAPS.

    Description

LG-400 Series supports Latest wireless technology and can operate on GSM 800, GSM 1800,GSM 1900 range of frequencies, and provides new features like WAP and Blue tooth

technology. Some of the features are phone services, Email services, text messaging, wirelessdata exchange, address book, Internet browser Calendar. The GSM gateway implements the

call processing unit and supports the CC protocol. The GSM and GPRS protocol stack involvesthe conformance testing of mobile handset. GCF standard are followed for this mobile handset

testing. The LG-400 series enables inbound and outbound VOIP and Cellular calls - all in one

compact box. Given the systems flexibility, modularity and scalability, the LG-400 can be pre-configured to meet precise customer requirements.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Involved in writing test cases for SIP functionality for various features such asCall cancellation

    Call transferCall forward

Involved in Inter interoperability Testing Analyzing the scope of testing

Design and Execution of test cases Posting Bugs and updating bug-tracking system as appropriate

Planning daily activities and prioritizing according to the release notes

    ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Design and implementation of the interface unit for operation of Electronic Scanning

    Pressure Module.

The Electronic Scanning Pressure Module is an instrument used for the measurement of

pressures exerted at various locations of the aircraft surface during its maneuvers and normal

flight simulated during wind tunnel tests.

The project involves the design and development of a portable pressure measurement systemwhich is required to be used at low speed wind tunnel, overhaul department as H.A.L. The

pressure measurement system is divided into two parts like interface unit and data

    Acquisition/Display module.

The Interface unit is designed to provide the required voltages to the six address lines of ESP

module in order to select the desired port and measure the pressure at the selected port. The

data Acquisition/display module makes use of Microcontroller which provides the address of

the desired port to the interface unit and then converts the analog signal available at the

interface unit to digital counts. This data is displayed in real time by a group of LEDs. The

pressure measured plays a vital role for the design of aircraft.

    Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Analysis and Problem Solving. Quality focus.
