Mobile Scavenger Hunt

In this task, you are going to use your cell phone and QR codes to complete this mobile scavenger hunt. You might have to create a profile, add your photograph and personalise the media, but if you start following other back that follow you, you’ll soon start create a network.

What is a QR Code?

QR Codes (Quick Response Codes) are 2 dimensional barcodes that are easily scanned using any modern mobile phone. They were developed by Denso and released in 1994 with the primary aim of being easily interpreted by scanner equipment in manufacturing, logistics and sales applications.The have a few advantages over bar codes.

They can hold a very large capacity of numbers or letters in any language Their printout size can be very small They offer high speed reading They can be read from any side (omnidirectional or 360° scan)

How to install a QR Reader on your phone

Essentially there are two ways to install a QR code reader on your phone Via direct mobile download Via computer to your phone

A comprehensive tutorial on installing QR phones is beyond the scope of this article as there are so may phones, each with a different QR readers

How to create your own QR codesGo to http://qrcode.kaywa.com or http://www.qurify.com/en/ and create as many codes you want to.
