Please support these organizations and thank them for their dedication to improving the lives of individuals within our community. Check out our new agency video by visiting our website at www.tlsnny.com Mobile Crisis Testimonial: “I was having trouble with perceptions of reality, confusion, anxiety, and restlessness. I met with MCS staff twice last month because I was having trouble with what was reality and what was not. After meeting with MCS staff I now understand I wouldn’t have sought the help without their guidance and doing as well as I am now. I am now staying focused on what I need to do to keep myself busy.” It never ceases to amaze me at how quickly the seasons change in the North Country. It seems like you wait forever for summer then it is gone in a heartbeat! Fall is almost upon us and with that the beauty of the countryside as the leaves change. TLS is also changing as it develops and grows to meet the ever changing needs of the population we serve. Working together has always been important if success is to be achieved with clients that cross systems of care. TLS recognizes this and has been developing its partnerships in order to ensure that services are available and delivered to hard to reach groups and individuals and families that do not currently have services available in their local communities. One such partnership with the local Teen Center here in Watertown, led to a recommendation from the Jefferson County Youth Board to approve funding through OCFS for a Life Skills Program operated at the Teen Center. TLS are looking forward to working with Tony Gullo Executive Director of the SoZo Teen Center and the young people that attend there. TLS was also selected as the sub grantee to provide Homeless Prevention Outreach Specialist / Case Management services in the Tri County area as part of a Veterans Homeless Demonstration Program funded through the VA and HUD. TLS are pleased to have been chosen to be part of this exciting project and be able to further assist our Veteran population and their families. Our agencies development and growth has only been possible because of the flexibility, teamwork and creativity of its staff. I am fortunate to be able to work with a group of people such as these.
