360 Mobile Security needed a large consistent amount of daily installs to maintain their

product's leading position among utility apps on Google Play, while keeping 7th day

retention levels close to organic.

Objective

After a series of small scale tests gauging retention rate averages across various geos,

MobAir launched a targeted campaign, utilizing the data we have gathered to form a

marketing strategy that would allow providing the required volume with optimal

engagement. Our publishers started scaling the campaign in chosen locations with all forms

of banner ads, carefully monitoring the new sources they introduced, until the required

volume was established. After that, the traffic was maintained and optimized to ensure the

consistency of its quality.

Baidu, one of the main advertisers from China, were seeking to expand further into the

Latin American market with their DU Speed Booster and DU Battery Saver products.

Objective

MobAir has rich traffic channels in Brazil and Mexico, so we were able to immediately

launch campaigns in these geos, promoting both products with a mix of banner ads and full

screen interstitials, optimized by our internal platform. Scaling further into Argentina,

MobAir maximized the volume and created a stable influx of users from Latin America,

monitoring and maintaining traffic quality from all sources introduced.

In May 2015, MobAir was able to deliver over 300,000 installs for DU Speed Booster,

improving its position among Tools apps in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina to Top 10 on

Google Play. DU Battery Saver received over 100,000 installs, which helped it reach Rank 1

among Productivity apps on Google Play and keep it for an extended period of time.

AliExpress, one of the biggest online retailers, wanted to get more customers for their

mobile service, building a sustainable audience in that segment.

Objective

Tools of choice for this campaign were native ads and mobile retargeting. The campaign

was global, so MobAir’s publishers have been able to unleash the entirety of their

retargeting arsenal, pinpointing users down to a particular product preference and serving

them relevant ads leading to the appropriate AliExpress page. Combined with in-feed ads

and recommendation widgets for additional volume, this campaign created a level of

engagement sufficient to provide a stable volume of mobile users with high lifetime value.

Aviasales wanted to expand further into the Eastern European market, increasing

the amount of flight bookings and improving brand awareness in those geos.

Objective

To access the Eastern European market, MobAir launched a social campaign with myTarget,

which holds a dominant share of mobile traffic in that segment. Using behavioral targeting,

we optimized the campaign to reach engaged audiences with banner ads and native display.

After placing them on all available travel portals, we gradually cut down the

underperformers and scaled the sources that brought optimal conversion rates and traffic

quality, thus delivering stable amounts of converting users to the advertiser. Once this

channel had been established, MobAir launched a Facebook Ads campaign, targeted at the

remaining part of the audience we found with ActionAds. This helped us achieve maximum

reach and strengthen Aviasales’ market presence in Eastern European geos.

Wechat is one of the biggest messenger apps with a strong presence in Asia. Wechat

wanted to enter new markets and establish a loyal user base there. To achieve that within

a short term, a decision was made to start with an incentivized push that would facilitate

further organic growth on Google Play.

Objective

MobAir team worked with a plethora of direct advertisers previously and has an extensive

knowledge of incentive traffic. By employing mobile publishers and running incentive media

buys through different incentive networks on a large scale we were able to create a

powerful incentive push using effective native ads formats like offer walls and interstitials.

Wechat received a 300% user increase in a single week and were able to hit the top of the

charts in certain markets and subsequently achieve organic growth.

Wasabee messenger was looking to aggressively boost their user base on a global scale

Objective

During this user acquisition campaign, we launched several traffic sources simultaneously in

order to find which one would meet the needs of the advertiser as well as to expand the

geographical reach. Our internal media buying team started testing different channels: in-

app advertising campaign through different third party ad networks, direct MobAir

publishers, and social media through Facebook.

In the end of the day, we were able to identify sources that bring the highest quality for the

client. After receiving positive feedback, we scaled the campaign accordingly

Link is a messenger and a local targeted social network that is primarily focused on Asian

markets—Singapore and Malaysia. But understanding the potential value of expansion to

other markets, they decided to start CPI campaigns for Philippines and Russia.

Objective

After analyzing the requirements and goals the client was looking to achieve, MobAir has

made a decision to start off with a user acquisition campaign via social media channels as it

is the best source to drive quality users and volume. For the Russian market, we focused on

running native ad campaigns using the main mobile marketing platform in the location -

MyTarget that accounts for 80% of all mobile traffic in the CIS region. As for Southeast Asia,

we decided to run classic Facebook ads campaign using newsfeed posts.

Solutions

In a short period of time, we have pushed Link to the top 20 networking apps in Russia and

achieved total domination in the Philippines region. Using advanced targeting techniques we

were able to identify the right audience and drive stable volume which led to a 31.7% (Russia)

and 17,8% (Philippines) increase in revenue per user.
