The 12-month MMPA Program is designed for students from the following University of Toronto Programs:

• B. Com Accounting Specialist (UTM and Rotman) • B.B.A Specialist in Management and Accounting (UTSC)

The 12-month stream is designed to provide those management and integrative professional courses necessary to prepare students for all but the last Capstone module in the new CPA educational program; all within a Master’s degree that encourages critical and analytical thinking and decision-making.

The overall objective is to provide students with an outstanding preparation for professional accounting, including:

• challenging courses taught by exceptional professors and professionals, • experiential learning and soft skill development programs that have proven successful for MMPA students and have been welcomed by employers, and• a paid 4 month co-op work term

The courses included in the 12-month program are as shown. The special learning experiences and skill development sessions occur throughout the year and include:

• Integrative case competitions• Hands-on tutorials on how to do financial research with data feeds• MMPA “Amazing Race” team building activity• Excel, accounting and tax software workshops• Speakers Series• Case and professional exam writing workshops• Mock interviews• Resume writing coaching and feedback

ADMISSION CRITERIA• Completion of specified University of Toronto undergraduate degree• Minimum of B+ in the last year• Minimum of B- in specified undergraduate courses*• GMAT score of at least 570, with an AWA score of 4.0 and a Verbal & Quantitative score of 46%**• Evidence of leadership abilities
