The F3D was designed as a carrier-based all-weather fighter aircraft. It saw service with the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. While it never achieved the fame of the F-86 Sabre or other contemporary aircraft, it downed several MiG-15s as a night fighter over Korea with only one air-to-air loss. It also served as an electronic warfare platform in the Vietnam War. The design, development and operations of these aircraft are described in detail, illustrated with many previously unpublished photos. Colour schemes and markings are de-scribed and illustrated with full colour profiles. Scale plans in 1/72nd and 1/48th.
This book is a true modeller’s reference, covering all aspects of the MiG-15 jet from production to service use in a concise and accessible way. The text is well supported by line diagrams and photographs to highlight the many changes made to Russia’s first mass-produced jet fighter. Details of both Russian and licensed production in Poland, China and Czechoslovakia are also provided in many tables covering production lots and factories. The real value of this book is in the pages of detailed photographs and technical drawings. From fuselage to wings, tail, cockpit and armament, nothing is ignored. For anyone who plans to build a MiG-15 in scale form, and there have been many choices released in recent years, this book is an essential source of reference.

He first in a long line of fighter aircraft from SAAB, and showing early evidence of their taste for the un-conventional, the J-21 was a very unusual design with pusher engine and tricycle undercarriage. Despite problems with both the undercarriage and engine cooling, the J-21 and its attack version the A-21 were built in some numbers and served the Swedish air force well in the late ‘40s/early ‘50s. A jet-powered derivative, the J-21R, was also built and entered service, the very first Swedish jet fighter. The story of these innovative aircraft is told in this book, profusely illustrated with photos, scale drawings and colour profiles. A complete walk-around section in colour shows the surviving airframes in some detail.

The Henschel Hs126 was the Luftwaffe equivalent of the Lysander, a classic high-wing STOL army co-operation aircraft. Like the Lysander, it proved too vulnerable in wartime operations, and was quickly relegated to training and glider tug roles. The Hs126 also saw service in Spain, Latvia, Soviet Union and Greece. This book describes the development and operations of the Hs126, and is illustrated with many photos and colour profiles, plus scale plans.

The biography of perhaps the most famous Luftwaffe ace, a fighter pilot who fought against the Spanish, the British & Americans, the Russians, and even within the Nazi hierarchy itself! From the Condor Legion in Spain, to the first use of jet fighters over Germany at the end of World War Two, Adolf Galland was in the thick of the action as an outstanding fighter pilot and charismatic leader. Outspoken in his criticisms of the German leadership late in the war, he was demoted to hazardous front-line duties, but survived to build strong friendships with his former aerial opponents.

The Dassault Mirage IIIO was the RAAF’s first supersonic combat air-craft, and served as its front-line fighter for over 20 years. During that time it wore a great many colour schemes, official and unofficial, and was adorned with many unit and individual markings. For the first time, the evolution and details of all these colour schemes and mark-ings is described and illustrated. The colours of this elegant aircraft changed with its roles and the changes in official thinking with regard to camouflage; the RAAF sense of humour also added some striking and unusual markings to Mirages over the years! The authors have researched this topic in great depth, helped by access to official and private photographic collections and the memories of Mirage pilots and ground crew. The manufacturers, Dassault, have also helped with information and photos of the very first Australian Mirages. Many of the original photographs are being published in this book for the very first time. Essential reading for aviation enthusiasts and scale aero-modellers.

The Gladiator was the last biplane fighter in service with the RAF. Despite its obsolescence in 1939 it saw considerable active service in WW2, from the African desert to the snows of Finland. Volume 1 covers the development and operational history of the aircraft, with full details of all the units which flew the Gladiator, the many foreign users, and air-to-air claims made by Gladiator pilots.
One of the rarest and least documented versions of the versatile de Havilland Mosquito, the Mk XVIII “Tse-tse” was armed with a 57mm gun. Originally intended for anti-tank duties, the 17 airframes pro-duced served instead with Coastal Command on anti-ship and anti-submarine missions. The book examines pre-war Polish advanced trainers from the PWS company. These attractive aircraft trained class after class of new Polish pilots and helped restructure the Polish Air Force during the 1920s and 1930s. As with most trainers, the PWS aircraft have often been overlooked in aviation texts, but this book changes all that with page after page of photos, illustrations, and text. The authors have done an excellent job of collecting information and presenting it in an easy to read format, which is good as this is likely to be the only monograph on these aircraft. As a trainer aircraft, their history is fairly sedate, as is their markings. Wkładka w języku polskim. http://www.mmpbooks.com/mmp/books.php?book_id=89

The latest in our “Polish Wings” series describes the refurbishment and use of captured Luftwaffe air-craft in Poland after WW2. A great many front-line combat aircraft were found, mostly in damaged or incomplete states, but none were subsequently restored or used. The story was very different for utility types, training aircraft and gliders, very many of which were repaired, restored and put to good use by the military or civil air organisations. This volume in the “Polish Wings” series covers three fighter designs, which equipped the Polish Air Force from the late 1920s up to the outbreak of war. The Avia BH.33 was a Czech aircraft brought in to replace the unsatisfactory SPAD 51 & 61, and built under licence by PWS. The same company then designed the PWS 10, which was the first indigenous Polish fighter to enter service. Finally the PZL P.7a was the first of the classic Puławski gull-wing monoplane fighters to see service, soldiering on right up until 1939 although it was obsolete by that time. The service use of all three aircraft is described, illustrated with many photos and full colour profiles. The PWS 10 also saw service in Spain, and this chapter in the type’s history is also described and illustrated. An invaluable guide to three classic inter-war fighters, with complete details of the colours and markings applied during their service.

This is a unique book/album, presenting famous places in Sandomierz,in a way never before presented in paper and electronic form. Key build-ings and scenes from old photos (some of them taken at the end of the19th century) have been compared with photos taken of exactly the same scene today, showing clearly the changes that have taken place over the years.
