Through the tutorials, code along assignments and projects, students learn how to analyze, modify, write and debug algorithms and scripts that use structured programming approaches. Students learn HTML, CSS, Javascript and Bootstrap. A five credit course is available for enthusiastic learners. With these two extra credits, students complete additional websites and study in depth about HTML, CSS and Javascript. PRE-REQUISITE: None. Computer Science 9 is recommended. WEB DEVELOPMENT 20 Students add to their understanding of Internet scripting by employing procedural programming techniques and fundamental data structures to create both static and dynamic client-side sites. Students learn to analyze, modify, write, debug algorithms and scripts that use subprograms, functions and Data Structure. Students learn Semantic UI, DOM Manipulation, jQuery, backend basics, Command Line and Node JS. A five credit course is available for enthusiastic learners. With these two extra credits, students learn Wordpress and PHP. PRE-REQUISITE: Web Development 10 WEB DEVELOPMENT 30 Students add to their ability to craft dynamic Web sites by exploring the fundamentals of server-side scripting. Student learn how to analyze, modify, write and debug algorithms and server-side scripts that use databases. Students learn NPM, Server Side Frameworks, Express JS, REST, MongoDB, Data Associations, Authentication, Passport JS and Authorization. A five credit course is available for enthusiastic learners. With these two extra credits, students learn Python and clone a website.
