State Drama Theater stages British comedyPerormance Schedule or October belonging to Phillip and Joanna Markham.Farce is probably the most exacting form

of drama for any cast and director. Pace, energy and timing of lines and action areeverything. The plot starts simply enoughwith Joanna Markham anticipatingattendance at a dinner with her publisherhusband, Philip. In their absence, Joannasfriend, Linda, wants to use the at for aliaison with an admirer while Lindasphilandering husband, HenryPhilipsbusiness partnerhas similar designs interms of his latest conquest. In the midst ofthis marital indelity is Alastair Spenlow,an outwardly gay interior designer who

harbors a strong heterosexual urge to be inbed with the maid, Sylvie.

As Lindas would-be lover, Walter andHenrys date, Miss Wilkinson, converge

on the scene all hell is let loose with liesand subterfuge galore. Into this mayhemwalks Olive Harriet Smythe a dottyNorfolk dog owner and author of the best-selling Bow Wow books which Philip andHenry would dearly love to publish.
