I picture it as an hourglass rather than a funnel.

The funnel takes prospects and funnels them to a product offering which is a small hole on the bottom.

This works fine for product funnels but in this industry you should be aware that a lot of people will NEVER brand themselves online but will still try and promote their business.


Given this fact the hourglass model better illustrates how to approach the mass audience who will never produce their own product but want to create multiple streams of income


Your mlm hourglass needs to follow this outline:

1. Identify your traffic sources2. Offer free training to prospects to capture name/email3. Upsell paid training products or courses (yours preferably!)4. Manage perspective through blog post training and products5. Incorporate an affiliate program


You do see the big at the bottom right?

That is achieved through your training program and affiliate program.

As you lead people through your training you should have helpful affiliate products to promote like internet marketing tools and if you have your own training products then you can have your subscribers promoting your products for you.


The real power of your mlm blog is in the constriction of the hourglass.

This is where you form the relationship and branding aspects of your mlm business.

As you mold your audiences perspective through your training products, referrals and suggestions you have the unique ability to have them looking to you as the leader, the motivator and expert.


When you have people looking to you for answers then you get the expert positioning you need to be a front runner in the industry and get that all empowering name recognition.


Your mission is to help as many people as possible with your blog posts, training products and opportunity which will start the spiral to your prominence in your niche through your mlm blog.


I have to say again that the word "primary opportunity" is really a misnomer because your real back end and primary business is selling you.
