TEAM NOTES:
• Orford & Williams began skating together in May 2010. • Since they won the Canadian junior title in 2011, they had to move up to the senior level within Canada, although they
competed on the junior international level this fall. This is a greater challenge in ice dance than in the other disciplines, since a different short dance is required.
• Orford previously skated with Malcolm Rohon-O'Halloran, finishing seventh at 2010 Skate Canada Junior Nationals. She has only been ice dancing since 2008.
• Williams previously skated with Olga Lioudvinevitch and Alicia Williams, his sister. • Williams had decided to take a year off from skating and had moved back home to Alberta when Orford contacted him for a
tryout. He had to quickly decide to move to Vancouver to team up with her. • Orford & Williams have the highest score attained by a Canadian junior dance team since the compulsory dance was
removed from the competitive format.
