Changes, Cancellations & Communication Should you book a day and circumstances change after completing a holiday booking please contact us before the holidays start and we will do our best to accommodate you. Once the holiday begins, all bookings are final as our two week cancellation policy only applies to before and after school care and we don’t do swap days. Keeping your information up-to-date will ensure your child gets the safe care they

deserve. So, if you have changed address, tossed your old number to the curb, changed medication or have new diet restrictions make the change online or give us a call.

Morning Madness Matters Avoid those ugly Hulk moments at breakfast by leaving it up to us. Hop online and book your child into our Breakfast Session which runs from 7am to 8:30am, we have yummy cereals, toast with spreads, even hot chocolate! Half Day Sessions are from 8:30am to 3pm and Full Day Sessions are 8:30am to 6pm. Children dropped off before 8:30am will automatically be charged for the Breakfast Session.

STAFF - We understand that our programmes are only as good as the staff who run them. All Mission Kids staff are trained and skilled children’s workers and receive ongoing support and professional development opportunities. Our staff to child ratio is 1:10 on site and 1:8 off site. In addition to this, there is always a minimum of two staff on duty at all times. Please see our policies and procedures manual (available on site) for further information. HOLIDAY BOOKINGS - All bookings for holiday programmes are now done online using Enrolmy. Please log on to Enrolmy using your username and password then select the days and sessions you would like your child to attend. Please double check your personal details and make updates where necessary. We cannot book your child into a session without the enrolment process being completed. Also, should circumstances change after completing a holiday booking please contact us before the holidays start and we will do our best to accommodate you. Once the holiday begins, all bookings are final as our two week cancellation policy only applies to before and after school care. Should your child be booked in on a day and not attend you will still be charged in full for their non attendance, we do not do swaps. BANK ACCOUNT - Fees to be paid directly into Mission Kids bank account as provided on the invoices by due date. Accepted payment methods are: Cheque, Credit Card and Internet Banking. Our ASB Bank account number is: 12-3615-0048549-00, please reference your child or invoice number. The cost of any action taken by the programme to recover unpaid fees will be met by the parents of the child concerned. WORK AND INCOME SUBSIDIES (WINZ) - Work and Income OSCAR Subsidy will be made available to parents. Application forms will be kept on site and staff will be available to assist parents with the completion of these forms if required. Fees will be subject to review from time to time, and one full term’s notice will be given to parents. Please note we don’t have eftpos facilities, however credit card payments can be made online through Enrolmy. No money is kept on the premises and we do not accept payment in cash. In the event of outstanding accounts, Mission Kids reserves the right to exclude enrolments for holiday programmes.

PAYMENT DEFAULT - When payment is not received by the due date, which is 7 days after invoice date, Mission Kids reserves the right to take further actions for collections of all outstanding fees. The late payment fee penalty is 2% per month of the outstanding amount per due date and compounding. When external collection agents are involved the collection charges of 30% of the total outstanding balance will be added to the balance with the interest charges. In case we have to take further court actions, all other legal costs will be accumulated. Any disagreements regarding fees charged can be addressed to the OSCAR Director, Paul Schlachter (paul@missionkids.org.nz).

LATE PICK UP - Mission Kids is open until 6.00pm daily. There is a late pick up policy in place; however no child will ever be left uncared for. All late pick ups will be recorded and a late pick up fee of $10 for every 10 minutes per child or part thereof will be charged to cover staff costs.

ENROLMENT - All families must complete an enrolment form before starting the programme. This includes casual users.

NON ATTENDANCE AND CANCELLATIONS - Please note that there are NO REFUNDS for absences. If your child is unwell, please contact our office 0204 555 015 prior to 2.00pm. After 2pm please contact us on site 0204 333 013. TWO WEEKS NOTICE, in writing, must be provided if a child is to be withdrawn from the programme or there is a change required to the days of care, otherwise a two week fee is payable based on the previous booking.

SIGNING OUT OF CHILDREN - Children are required to be signed in and out for after school care by a nominated caregiver listed on the enrolment form. This is for each child’s safety.

UNAUTHORISED PICK UPS - Please call and advise our office 0204 555 015 (before 2pm ) and site phone 0204 333 013 (after 2pm) if there is a change in the person who will be collecting your child. If a person whose name is not on your enrolment form arrives to collect your child, we are obliged (for your child’s safety) to keep your child in our care until you have been contacted for consent.

SUN SAFE - Mission Kids has a detailed sun safe policy in place. During the summer months, parents/caregivers will be required to provide a suitable hat and SPF 30+ broad-spectrum sunscreen for their children.

SICK CHILDREN - Although senior staff are trained in first aid, we do not have the facilities to look after sick children. If a child arrives at the programme visibly unwell, the programme reserves the right not to accept that child. If a child becomes unwell during a programme, caregivers will be notified and requested to pick their child up as soon as possible. We will endeavour to make the child as comfortable as possible until a nominated caregiver arrives. Mission Kids has policies and procedures for accidents and emergencies and for children requiring medication.

CHILDREN’S PERSONAL PROPERTY - We do not encourage children to bring their own toys to the programme. Our programme is fully equipped with a wide range of indoor and outdoor games and materials. Mission Kids will not be held responsible or liable for the loss of money, valuables or personal possessions that belong to a child.

CHILD SAFETY - Mission Kids has a detailed child protection policy in place. The programme is committed to the prevention of child abuse and to the protection of children and young persons.

COMPLAINTS - Our aim is to provide a high quality OSCAR programme. There may however be an occasion when you feel we could have done better. If this is the case please approach the site supervisor at Mission Kids or alternatively the Director, Paul Schlachter, he will be happy to assist you with your recommendations or concerns.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND SOCIAL MEDIA - Photographs of children or items of children’s work completed at Mission Kids after school care programme may be used at a later date for marketing and promotional purposes including social media sites. The site supervisor will manage taking of all photographs and will ensure they are safely and correctly stored, this includes uploading onto social media sites.

PRIVACY ACT 1993 - The information that you have supplied for enrolments is necessary for the safe and effective operation of the Mission Kids Before School, After School and Holiday Programme Care. All personal information requested will be destroyed at the completion of your child’s time in the programme. You are welcome to review information pertaining to your child’s enrolment at any time.
