Two types of hydrobox are supplied by Mitsubishi Electric depending on desired hot water application:

1- Booster unit: Ideal for use in a variety of applications. From hotels to restaurants to gyms, it works perfectly in providing optimum air environment and hot water to a maximum of 70˚C.

The booster unit is connectable only to a VRF heat recovery outdoor unit (Mitsubishi Electric City Multi R2 series).

System Outline:

The Booster unit is connected to a BC controller with refrigerant pipes, and to the water tank with water pipes. The waste heat from cooling operation is utilized for heating operation which provides hot water.

Noting that the Mitsubishi Electric City Multi R2 heat recovery system is the only two-pipe simultaneous heating and cooling system in the world.

Example of water pipe installation:

1- HEX unit: HEX unit works perfectly to provide heating and cooling to water fan coil units, panel heaters, or under floor heating systems, it offers 45˚C in heating and down to 8˚C in cooling, making it suitable for residential properties.

The HEX unit is connectable to a VRF heat pump unit (Mitsubishi Electric City Multi Y series) and also connectable to a VRF heat recovery outdoor unit (Mitsubishi Electric City Multi R2 series).

System outline with Y series:

HEX unit is connected to Y outdoor with refrigerant pipes and to the water tank with water pipes. HEX unit is not equipped with compressor.
