Your involvement in Light Up for Mito

Thank you for confirming your participation in Light Up for Mito by illuminating <<proposed monument name>> in green on Saturday 25 September 2021.

As you know, Light Up for Mito marks the start of World Mitochondrial Disease Week and you will be joined by many landmarks both in <<country>> and across the world.

As part of your involvement, we hope that you can help us to spread the word about your support, whilst raising awareness of mitochondrial disease (mito). You can do this simply by:

Telling your community about your involvement in the lead-up to Light Up for Mito using your existing channels e.g. social media, e-newsletters, website (see https://mitochondrialdiseaseweek.org/resources/ for templates and images)

Utilising unused signage or digital displays to promote your involvement (we can provide graphics to suit)

Advise your local media and offer photo opportunities to promote your support whilst helping to raise awareness of mito (we can provide you with a media release template, or make the approach)

Follow us on our social channels and share our posts, particularly the Mito Facts before and during awareness week on 19 to 25 September:
