Mission Swacchta Pakhwada(1st September 2019 to 15th September 2019)
Recognizing the vital role of the schools in spreading the Swachhta awareness and implementation across the country, CBSE directed all the schools to observe the Swachhta pakhwada from September 1 to September 15. Under this mission, the MDVM students had pledged for clean India and prepared poster and slogan based on clean and green India. The students have organized a rally to the local market and distributed the paper bags to the shopkeepers and made them aware about cleanliness. The students visited the slum areas and distributed soaps to them and tree plantation was also done by the students and the teachers.
Day wise activity report
In MDVM Parle school Swachhata Pakhwada has taken place. During inspection all blocks of
washroom including boys, girls and staff , were found neat and clean. |In all washrooms, soaps and
tissue paper were placed properly. All corridors and floors were in proper neat and clean condition.
Inspection was done by four member team including Mr. Namo Narayan Mishra, Mr. Sharwan Kumar,
Mrs Sutapa Adak and Dr.Prinu Shukla.
Our school organized the Swachhata Pakhwada in presence of the whole school staff along with all the
students from classes K.G section to 12th during assembly time. This is a cleanliness drive under Swachhata
Pakhwara Programme for 15 days starting from 1st to 15th of September. Mr. Trivesh started it with his speech
on how to make it a habit in our daily life for ourselves and our mother earth. Our Vice- Principal also motivated
everyone to not only to follow it for 15 days but also throughout our life. The teachers and all the students took
oath with our school head boy Akshat Jain for cleanliness.
Day 1 : INSPECTION OF SANITARY FACILITIES ( 1 September, 2019)
Day 2 : SPEECH & OATH ON CLEANLINESS (2 September, 2019)
The administrative officer of the school Mr. Deendayal
Sharma also gave special guidelines to the non-teaching
staff about cleanliness and guided them how to follow it to
make our earth a better place to live in. The main purpose
of this programme was to create awareness among all of
us regarding Cleanliness and its benefits.
Today we have visited a slum area in Neemrana, where we observed such things which are needed to gain some
attention towards health and hygiene , cleanliness, food habits and clothing .
1. Nowadays, we see many cleanliness programmes are going on but such slum areas are not benefitted by these
programmes.
2. Over there we had seen that some of the children do not have clothes to wear and some of them are suffering
from many diseases like polio,allergy and pigmented skin etc.
3. The children were malnourished as they are not getting proper diet.
After observing their condition and to promote cleanliness, soap bars were distributed to them along with
biscuits.
The objective of the visit was to spread awareness among people about cleanliness and maintaining
proper hygiene.
Day 3 : VISIT TO SLUM AREAS (4 September, 2019)
The MDVM School has had a long standing tradition of preservation of ecology, cleanliness and flora and fauna in the
school. In order to sensitize students towards the need to preserve our environment and ecology, tree plantation drives
are organized in the School from time to time. One such drive was held on 5th September, during which trees were
planted around the area of the school. Dr. Satyaveer Singh, Principal, Dr. Rekha Yadav, Vice Principal and many other
teachers were present on this occasion and they planted numerous saplings which are elemental to the ecology of the
school and city.
On 6 September,2019, a Cleanliness rally was brought forward by Class IX students from the school to its near by
market area. Respected Principal Dr. Satyaveer
Singh raised the green signal and wished the
students for their efforts. The rally was headed by
Ms. Neeti Bagga, Ms. Somprabha Rajpoot, Mr.
Hariom Sharma and Mr. Kailash Deka. The students were saying
slogans and distributing hand made paper bags to the
shopkeepers and the passers-by to make them aware of the
importance of cleanliness in our life. The programme was a great
success and appreciated by all.
Day 5 : RALLY AND SLOGAN WRITING (6 September, 2019)
Day 4 : TREES PLANTATION (5 September, 2019)
To nurture the creativity of students, a poster making competition was organized in MDVM School on 07.9.19. Children
were excited to portray the posters with their own imagination and creativity. They participated with great enthusiasm
and displayed their colouring skills. It was a fun filled activity where children not only enjoyed but also got a platform to
show case their talent. Atharva Shukla of class 6 C bagged first prize in this competition.
In continuation with observing Swachhata Pakhwada in our
school, today all the students of classes 3rd to 5th were
shown videos on personal hygiene and Oral health in school
auditorium. Video also included a Kids Songs about Good
Habits.

Hand Wash Activity (K.G Section)
Report- During assembly time, children were sensitized about
personal hygiene and steps were given to them how to wash
their hands. They were instructed to wash their hands before
and after every meal. This activity was well followed by the
children.

Day 6 : POSTER MAKING COMPETITION (7 September, 2019)
On the 11th of September, MDVM School took part in the community cleaning and awareness programme as scheduled
and directed by the School administration during Swacchata Pkhwara.
On 12th September, 2019 'Best out of Waste ' activity was conducted in school. Students of all sections of class
8th and 10th participated in this activity. Students of 8th class made different attractive decorative models using
waste materials. Students of class 10th made very interesting models of science using only waste materials. An
exhibition was organized which showed the models prepared by the students. The students enjoyed the activity
very much at the same time they learnt how to reuse the waste products so that they could keep their
environment clean.
Focus area- The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the students with the procedure of waste
water treatment and its reuse.
Today, students of Classes 5th and 6th ,accompanied by the teachers Ms Mittu Singh and Ms Sutapa Adak
visited sewage treatment plant and came to know how they could reuse the waste water again for a different
purpose like gardening, washing vehicles etc. after treatment. A Step by step, teammate and teacher described

the students what happens at each stage of the treatment process and how various inorganic and organic
contaminants are removed. All the processes involved and the mode of action done in the waste water treatment
plant has been explained. These processes included screening, grit removal, aerobic and anaerobic digestion,
thickening,
blending and dewatering. Through the visit students became familiar with the working principle and functions
of various units of treatment plant such as screens, grit chambers, primary clarifier, aeration tank, secondary
clarifier, sludge digester etc. Students also performed some methods like filtration, sedimentation and
decantation etc in the lab.
Outcome of the visit: The visit was quite helpful for the students to get the practical knowledge regarding the
functioning and process of sewage treatment plant.
An English essay and Letter writing competition
was held for the students of STD IX on 14 September.
The students were asked to write on the topic
“Cleanliness and Sanitation”, “The essay was judged
on the basis of the students’ vocabulary, presentation
and creativity. The purpose of the competition was to
encourage the students to enhance their thinking and
writing skills. The contents were well written by
the students. Vishal won the first prize in letter writing
competition.
Day 12: PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY (16 September, 2019)
Day 11 : LETTER AND ESSAY WRITING (14 September, 2019)
The prize distribution ceremony was held to facilitate the students who followed the motto “SWACCH
BHARAT, SWASTH BHARAT” .under the CBSE drive SWACCHATA PAKHWADA.
